Because being a game dev is a cushy job. There's no unpaid overtime ever, you only have to work when you feel like because there's no one giving you deadlines for anything, there's no interference from anyone else outside of your small company and you have no friends or family to visit. And you also never have to deal with troll posts on forums either.

You go to a restaurant and order a free main course, take a bite and don't like it. Then you order some side dishes that cost money and demand a refund when you continue to not like it?
Or perhaps you order the free main course and then buy the sides without trying it first?
The correct course of action would be to try the main course, determine if you like it or not and then order the sides.
I'm assuming you didn't do that.
