It was so bad that it had me checking the forums everyday to see how crappy the next item was. You had to log in and win a game to get the prize but you could probably lose 1 game and still have enough ISK to buy everything they gave us. |

Amount of copies per item was way too low & the tiers were garbage, mostly STD and ADV is garbo. We've also got plenty of black eagles and quafes recently so we dont care about them. If the Neo M-1 is really just the STD Neo M-1 then ya its like a joke.

It's not that I don't like them so much as I can't use them. That which I can use is STD AUR gear I have no use for. CCP was screwed on this one from the beginning. Good gear isn't usable by everyone and crappy gear is worthless. They needed some sort of unique item for day 12.

Hoped for at least one bpo of a suit model we haven't seen before. not a reskin with Different colors, but an actual new suit or a respec for the av. I for one will not be using any of the items giving. 12 copies isn't even worth the time it would take to make a new fitting for them. There gonna gather dust with all my advanced hmg/specialist swarm launchers until the player market opens.
On a side note, I expected the triumphant thing to be 12 havs since that's the only way you can win now.
Or dropships so you can set up tents and roast marshmallows on top of buildings. |

did you even see the eve rewards... the only useful thing they got was a shuttle. its normal for ccp to give out rubbish items for christmas. but these items they gave us are all far from rubbish.
who doesn't use enhanced arm plates.. id say 99% of the community uses them
33 free suits all fully fit for battle and all aur types so useable by anyone, very useful seeing as they cost you nothing
aside from the fused locus grenades everything else is useful in some way

I only played EVE a little bit, but in the time I did play they handed out all sorts of gifts. I got unique ships and good modules and all sorts of interesting stuff.

I wouldn't go so far as to say it was an epic failure. It was underwhelming, sure but it wasn't terrible. The last day item made me giggle a little bit, not because it was 12x 'Neo' Assault M-I (the most underpowered Assault, I feel) but mostly because the image didn't match up. Was like a Black Eagle Caldari Assault or something, definitely worth the chuckle.

i have played eve for over 6 years now. every year its a ship. they just started a year or so back giving out an implant but most of the vets don't use them due to the low efficiency of them. the is the case for dust too. there are plenty of nice items but they are not as efficient as everyone would like but they are free and useful none the less

people asking for something proto is just pointless as most players cant use proto. evey year ccp give eve players 1 special item and it is always the lowest form of ship you can get which requires no skills to use.
this year a shuttle, last year i believe it was a rookie ship, year before that scanning frigate, before that a pi ship all of which had no skill requirement and were good but ultimately useless.
we have been given very usable items. maybe not for the proto swarm out there but for everyone else that fits things other than full proto this is all usefull.
no one uses enchanced armor plates, if you use proto you run proto plates, anything under you just get the miltia plates because godtier and theyre practically free, sure if i had an enchanced armor plate BPO id use it, but i dont so miltia armor plate BPO is still godtier |

You people who thought they'd be protosuits are completely unrealistic and foolish. I almost wish they'd have given you 12x Proto Commandos, that way you'd see how useless random protosuits would be, since there's only like 20 people who could use them at all.

My Caldari Logistics ALT can't use the quafe suit... it requires Gallente scout dropsuits to LEVEL 5, that seems very "accessible" I'm sure there are more players who cannot use this item than those that can.

Whatever it was, it made me play for 12 days that I might not have.
I also think the Quafe suits are great, I'm tempted to throw a few million SP at scouts just to wear them around my apartment.
I think I'd wear my black suit on Mondays and my purple suits for the rest of the week.
On Saturday I'll get all decked out in proto, then just lounge around all Sunday in that Skinweave militia.

was really bummed when I found out that the last day wasn't a black caldari suit with M-1 stats and fittings...
but oh well, I liked the event. SOME of us don't have a Quafe Suit and can only look on enviously from the war room as other more popular and more beautiful people get to walk around with cool stuff.
But not anymore. Now I get my own fabulous purple scout suit and that alone was worth the entire 12 days of Christmas for me. |

Yah, the speed penalty on the comp plates makes them really tough to want to use. Strafe speed is highly underrated. The most I can bring myself to use is a basic and an ehd on a med frame. Anything beyond that is more detrimental to my survival than it is beneficial.

this remind me of the event a few months back where you had to fulfil multiple objectives and it gave you different tiers of gear with the top being 100x falchion, we all remember this?
i counted what i had to do, got to the number required, then doubled it to make sure i got the rewards, CCP told me i did about a quarter of what was required when i actually did it x2, ******* joke |

as long as that wallet keeps going up there is no problem...all my fits cost between 30/70k and i almost always leave battle with a profit. and all my proto suits have adv/enhanced gear on. if your worrying about an extra 10k on your 2400isk suit and not making profit then your obviously doing it wrong.

the event should have been: give a snowball launcher BPO to everyone, and add a special game, snowball fight, the snow ball launcher has a low rate of fire, and the snowballs travel slow, so its quite difficult to hit someone, if you get hit once you "die", and you go back to the spawn, there is no ISK nor WP price, the price is more snowballs, when you run out of snowballs you acnnot play again, or buy them with aur.
when you die you dont lose any suit, its like forest paintball, youre painted, so you must go back to the "deadzone".
THIS would have been an amazing Winter event, not this crappy ****, but of course, CCP should have programmed and designed the stuff, and they have already too much on their plate OOOOH JESUS WE DUNNO HOW TO FRIKKIN FIX PROTOSTOMPING TANK STOMPING WE TRIED IMPROVING VEHICLE PHISICS BUT 10 TON TANKS CAN FLY AND WE HAVE NO CLUE OF WHAT WE DID WRONG
