And am proud to call myself a Sefrim.
Quote:4 And when the angels touched the ground with their feet the earth shook violently and fire engulfed those daring too near the divinities. Their power being mighty and their presence potent the people were wise not to look too closely upon them.
Amarr role-players - you bummed?

It does not sound othrodox in nature to me. ((In terms of RP however the greater Amarrian players base uses the term Angels, or references the Avenging Angels of God as a symbol for what they are, so in a greater sense this is more or less about the meta physical angels the Sefrim, who we immortal Amarr try to mirror, though admittedly you cannot claim this title in a traditional sense, we are not the holy Sefrim, we are people who have dammed our own souls and become cloned breaking the tenets of the Sacred Flesh.)) No mortal may claim the title of Sefrim, and certainly not some heathen Gallentean.
Epitoth. This wasn't intended for the role-playing forums and was entirely meant to upstart the response you just gave about 'heathen Gallentean's

If I do ever decide to run for CPM, it certainly will not be this early on. I have -considered- it but this does not mean I am actively attempting to do so.
.... but just so we're clear, with the current CPM stating they're not interested in running, I don't see any likely candidates that I would vote for.

Everyone knows how I feel about the Federation. I see them as a evil this cluster over looks because of a single word they preach as though it were their God.
On a more realistic note, I did actually sit down and read the scriptures (as well as a plethora of Amarrian lore) and am considering having my character shift some loyalty to the Amarr Empire. As a player I sort of shivered at the thought of the 'Sefrim' being what the Dust Mercenaries in a metaphorical sense but the purpose of this thread was pretty much to see how the Amarr RPers would react to it, lol.

Mithridates VI wrote:I hear rumour of a Sani Sabik branch gaining traction which makes a very similar argument to you, Aeon. I've heard they call themselves Sefrim, on occasion.
They say their position is that while they fully acknowledge the existence of the Amarrian God, their immortality makes them exempt from judgement, so all of their time is spent pursuing hedonistic excess, bathing in clone blood, burning through bodies as fast as they can to celebrate their ability to outrun God.
That's what I hear, anyway.
Was actually the first place I looked for details pertaining to the meaning of '514' what with the constant apocalyptic references in the first generation clones. Actually figured it had a lot to do with the Isogen-5 terran superweapon as well as sleepers being quasi-terran, although this is just speculation and it only really defines the number '5' in the entire code, even -IF- (and I use that very loosely) they're even related.

That's pretty bold thing to say considering the rampant reaming the Amarr do on anything that moves, I mean hell the Gallenteans were the first ones the Jovians made contact with and they didn't send a fleet in to try and "conquer" them.

True Adamance wrote: The idea comes from the belief amongst the Amarr that the cloning of Royal Flesh is blasphemy, many other Amarr extend that to themselves, believing that if their paragon, the Emperor or Empress shouldn't do it, neither too should they.
I personally happen to take this to heart as well, my orginal body was the one God gave me, yet I rejected it, I spurn it, and now I live on when I should have died, and know that I have become something the Lord may never have intended me to be....
Yet I also live on in the hope that while I may be damned by this, I can now fight so my people won't share the same fate, or ever have to fight a war. Perhaps in doing that I am still serving God.
"I fight in wars so that no-one else has to fight in a war because war."
Reminds me of the Mass Effect 3 Catalyst paradox

A freedom you did not earn is meaningless. Same could be said for the Amarrians who never knew the suffering their ancestors endured
Funny thing is the Amarrians are closer to Terrans than anyone else. Associations dictates that they were The Conformists who came through the Eve Gate.
