Not only do I think that this would be fun for new and vet players. Not only have I wanted this since they mentioned it on release. I really like the idea of using the entire district to play on. It would really help to make this more of an open world game, which CCP is apparently so opposed to. Another thing that might help this is player made maps. A thread I've been debating starting in FeedBack/Requests. Something I definately believe would really enhance the game and potentially allievate CCP from their laziness, Erm I mean how busy they really are with all their vacations

It depends on limitations. Would survival be one death and you're out?
If survival has no isk/sp cap then,survival. (imagine surviving for 30+ mins salvage (?) should be insane)
But i'am in a corp with a district,and if it were requested of meee i would do infestation.

PvE needs to be a part of PC. You need to keep your districts constantly maintained and drone-free in order to keep the district. You can go in and do it yourself, or you can pay for another corp to go in and clear the district for you. Also, in order to capture a district that is uninhabited, you need to have to clear it of drones beforehand.
This will make PvE a part of PvP, and vise-versa . Then we just need to make PC more enticing and less broken....... |

So you want to fight non-player infantry? We're the pirates. Individual corporations and faction with their own agenda. How exactly would you suggest CCP give you 'pirates'?

I can't wait for PvE, especially infestation. I want to be able to get a full team of Se\7eN easily in--or a couple squads--and then face the drones.
I hope you can select a difficulty level or something, too. And your rewards are based on that level.
More than anything, I'm just hoping it's easy to get multiple squads of Se\7eN in the same match. All we want to do is game as a corp, but now that corp contracts were removed, it's not easy. PvE will be a perfect place to allow this.

I like the idea of survival type game modes. I love them in every game I have ever played. For me that's what PVE is all about. Facing overwhelming odds and seeing how far you can go VS the A.I
The other mode sounds interesting.

I think 'fixing the game' and PvE are two ways of saying the same thing. A large segment of my corporation wants to be able to plan co-op PvE matches. Those same guys are the ones getting increasingly bored with public contracts, FW, and PvP in general.
If you mean 'fixing the game' in the context of bug fixes and adding more weapons/dropsuits/vehicles... well I don't think those teams borrow much from one another. Unless I'm badly mistaken CCP Shanghai could work on both facets of game play at the same time.

Probably the most excited I have been for Dust 514 since I heard the rail rifle was being released.
Also, Draxus, the screen shots in the OP are broken.

I really like how the drones look. I hope they introduce pirate faction PvE as well, ie. do missions for them or against them, and have lp stores for the factions. This game needs more to do. |

If the big surprise for Fanfest 2014 ends up being Planetary Conquest 2.0 you will have single handily inflicted more disappointment than any game patch to date. 
I'd be with ANY PvE at this point. Yet my inner devil is just dancing at the though of what CCP will do.
