is this the only iwssue you find while bombaring? man dafuq...
when i want to OB i need to get into some channel to find out where the battles are raging, ive been given a few channels none of them with enough dust mercs, one of them had 8 capsuleers and 2 mercs, these capsuleers where from all the different militias, plenty orange stars, and you, as an eve player, know what will happen if i ask where the battle is going... its just what eve players do right? xD
so i had to move my ps to the side of my computer to find out where the battles are going on, from dust, not even in the starmap one can see where are FW battles going on, one has to queue up, travel 20 jumps, and if youre lucky when you get there the match wont be over yet.
so you synchronize, and luckily, you might get a request, because lets face it, people specifically on the caldari fw team are so stupid... it has happened to me a few times already that no one has requested anything...
then the match finishes, and you want to give more orbital strikes, one needs more killmails ! xD so you have to queue again on dust, and hope for the match to be on the same system/planet, but hey, most of the times it sends you 30 jumps away...
i understand that ccp wanted that this intel is given by the dust side, but lets afce it, how should they give if they dont eevn have a keyboard? also taking into account that channels on the dust side are so badly programmed, they lag to refresh, they cannot be moderated, they dont have motds... well, eve players could get into voice, but we dont, we use ts3 or mumble, but still, we could... but its freakin useless because there is no chat !, its not rewarding enough, and orbital striks yeah are fancy but they really dont make much of a difference, there is like this unspoken rule: in eve caldari slightly dominate the space, on the ground on the other hand the gallente totally rule the land, totally and absolutely, ive had matches where there where 12 capsuleers on orbit and still the gallente won...
Maybe CCP should be calling for orbital stirkes on dust more rewarding, because mercs dont care much about it really...

Middas Betancore wrote:When u are connected to a district u will automatically connect to the district chat channel which is also the dust team chat for that particular battle. This allows to communicate with people in the battle which is useful to a point. Exactly, to a point, one cannot do much if people are not reading chat at that moment and they slipped the top right corner warning...
Middas Betancore wrote:A measure u can take to provide more security to you own operations is to get the dust mercs in public channels to send u a private message of the battle location, yes u can get duped by gallente mercs, but still an space is dangerous and when connected to a district u are visible to people in the same system as well as dust mercs in battle. One thing is giving the enemy headsup when the match is starting, they can get into ceptors and come get me in 5 minutes, another thing is when they see me when Im already connected, i can bombard and then dock, or cloak, or just warp from safe to safe...
Middas Betancore wrote:Another point of advice is when u are at a district is to set a 360 degree scan set at 450,000,000km this will allow u to detect enemies warping into ur location at approximately 1 AU, giving u enough warning to warp away if u wish. I myself use very cheap disposable ship fittings with a handful fitted ready to go should i get popped. Hmmh, I've live in wormholes for a while now, i know pretty well how the d-scan works, thank you xD
Middas Betancore wrote:In conclusion there is no way to guarantee 100% operational security, u will get destroyed, but following the above advice hopefully u will meet with greater success. If u wish to join my moderated channel, mail this dust clone and we can talk about bringing u into our operation. I hope u find this information helpful, id be happy to answer any further queries. i kinda have the feeling you didnt understand anything of what i say... my issue, again, to put it much simpler (short), is that for eve players its too difficult to find battles to assist.
Arx Ardashir wrote:Pick one and stick with it. Thats what i tried, but the only ressource I have, since there are no channels i can get requests without being monitored by the enemy -and dont tell me thats a risk i must be willing to assume.. it would be like telling the CFC to allow PL to get into their intel chats and jabber xDDDDDDD-, is to queue again and again and again and hope for a battle on the same system to pop...
What CCP should do, is allow ongoing battles and in-the-next-5-minutes battles to show up on the Dust's Starmap.

Middas Betancore wrote:I dont mean to patronise, i dont know u, im just trying to offer the best advice i can from my experience dropping OB's. yeah well, i appreciate your interest but thats not what i was asking :P
Middas Betancore wrote:From what u are saying what i believe u want is basically a list of FW battles, perhaps in the militia offices in stations there could be a list of active FW battles, or just in ur ship u can see a list. However i see this being just as risky as the enemy can also see all sites and have a better handle on anti OB patrols. Not really in eve, i understand CCP wanted to create the need to dust mercs give that intel to eve capsuleers, and i respect that and could even like, if dust mercs where more open minded to chat with us, it doenst always happen though, but still, it would be enough if on the dust side mercs could see the matches on the starmap, i could get http://i.imgur.com/UzhoKah.jpg PS in one of the monitors and look for battles easily :P
Middas Betancore wrote:On ur point of channel security, even PL's jabber channel is not secure, there is nothing to stop any person feeding information to the enemy, occupational hazard. OFC, spais are spais xD but that doesnt mean that they must stop trying to keep em away aint it? xD
Middas Betancore wrote:We have operated on FW on dust for months using orbital support, come and try working with us, there is a frak load of isk to be made Will dowill do :) though is nto isk what im looking for, just the pew :P
