For lone wolfing, shields can be good when used properly, especially hit and run.
But the majority of this game requires squads and teamwork. Sticky together and moving as one. In that scenario, the speed penalty placed on armor almost doesn't matter since your moving as fast as the slowest dude anyways.
And of course the only logi aide in this game right now is armor hives and reps.
Shields have been shafted hard. I would gladly give up shield regen (which is garbage most of the time) for more shield hp.
And we need shield hives and shield rep tools to make them competitive against armor. |

I say to you sir, surviving alpha damage and being able to stack damage mods... shields need some work. |

like i said in the other threads about the rewards. the rewards aren't even worth the effort, we can all buy the normal ones of the items in the market, there's nothing special about the ones in the events.
the only thing worth collecting are the quafe suit and black eagle suits since you can still sell those to someone when player trading comes in (soonTM) lets just hope the final reward would be worth something

The problem with shields is the fact that armor get double the HP and get to use damage mods, it makes zero sense. low HP suits should be the ones that get to do extra damage not the High HP suits.
