I have yet to read ONE and I mean ONE that doesn't sound like whining . I can agree the scout is UP but it does not need a new role. It just needs its role reinforced and make it the best at it because currently anything a scout can do a medium frame can do just as effectively or even more effectively.
What ******* role does the Scout have? Oh wait, it doesn't have one. you can use a Assault with a scanner and do just as well. Oh, and scanners are EWAR, and like I've already pointed out, electronic attack ships are most similar to Scouts. That's why I've been saying that they should be the best with EWAR. Also, we are racists towards the rest of the community? Really? I swear sometimes some of you ******* have lost it lol.

I like some of the ideas for modifying and improving A/V weaponry, but I'm against making the scout a suit which gets bonuses to A/V activities.
Scouts should retain their bonuses to infiltration and recon (Gal), and infiltration and assassination (Min) and if those bonuses are tweaked or changed, I'd like to see them stay inline with what I consider to be the realm of the scout: to infiltrate (or flank) in order to cause chaos (or kill). I really don't want to see the scout become the suit people use for things which are very battlefield specific, such as A/V, if it is at the expense of their current bonuses.
I don't mind them getting buffs to EWAR, again as long as it's not at the expense of their current bonuses (or similar future bonuses).
Having an A/V suit as you describe sounds like a great idea, don't get me wrong - I just hope they don't turn the scout suit into something like that. It's a lightweight - a ninja, an infiltrator, a spy.... there are elements of EWAR in those realms, but it's mostly about stealth, mobility and situational awareness.
Personally I think scouts needs some very minor tweaks... I really don't want to see them given a 'role' which overrides or is a deviation to how the suits are currently designed in terms of their bonuses, movement, dampening/recon, etc.... |

1: Scout is a name, just like Logistic ships is just a name; logistic ships don't do logistics, and Scouts shouldn't all be scanners. Makes no sense once all EWAR shows up.
2: Want to cripple a BS or a BC real easy? use a Recon ship, or use a electric attack ship. Scouts are like those two, so they should be bonused towards EWAR. What you're describing is more of a Cov Ops ship, being the ones to scout out an area, and relay the specific info to the team. That kind of stuff would be things like such types and stuff. The Scout would pair up with them, and could do the same job, just probably be harder. That one would be called just Recon suit.

1: I use other classes as well, like Logi, the complete opposite of Scout, or Sentinels, but not as much.
2: I picked the role, yet it's currently underpowered. I"m just giving ideas to how to fix it, just like how logis, assaults, commandos, or sentinels have been giving ideas on how to fix theirs. Is that so bad? Also, you didn't explain

This is the suit that should get the cloak and web modules. The reason I think this is that the role of AV-EWAR should be highly specialized and SP intensive because of the huge advantage Ewar modules will give a squad. We already see what active scanners are doing, dampners mean nothing if the entire squad isn't fitted with them.
I think the special properties should be tied to higly specialized drop suit. You know how much sense this doesn't make? First off, There would be 0 reason to use the Scout. Second, medium frames are by far the worst way to do AV. The only reason why it worked before is because you could just sit in one spot. Now, you can't. Also, why make a whole new frame when you got one, and that one needs a role, which this would fit in perfectly? Also, why t=in the hell would you limit a entire role to a specific race? Or maybe make a scout a scout. That sounds like a perfect role for a scout doesn't it?
So by that logic, the recon ships should abandon their EWAR skills? Because of a name. I swear, narrow minded people never think.
