I really don't think any region has a significantly better player base.
However, there are people who really either need to upgrade their internet or stick to their regional servers. Nothing better than seeing someone skipping across the map 10 meters at a time just to see them brag on the forums 20 minutes later about how good they are.

All the smart people know we're eventually going to become "Earth".
We're still going to have all of our different languages but we're going to decide on one language to become galactic basic.
Once we colonize the rest of our solar system we're going to encounter some sort of universal police force that ask us for our papers. But of course humans are just going to panic at the sight of the aliens and start fighting them.
