-Display 'you are in a safety zone' at the top middle of the HUD -Disable all weaponry inside the redline (vehicles' turrets included) This would eliminate redline sniping and rail gunning. It would force players to leave the redline to accumulate wp. With the penalties for redline farming i have already suggested, this would work nicely. EDIT: #1 of that list being my preference |

i would suggest a 2-5 minute timer for this and any one who goes past 5 minutes would have to die beffor the penalty is removed |

The effect would only last as long as you are in the redline, and would wear off as soon as you step out. |

If a sniper retreats because they don't want to get killed they shouldn't be penalised for it. Their weapons would still lock upon entering the redline. And unlock when they leave it. |

No, all we would get is people dancing at the redline waiting for each other to make the first move. Why do you keep coming up with these complicated fixes for a problem that can be solved by a Light frame suit with dampeners and an uplink?
Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience.

Firstly thanks for the compliment you're so nice. :3 I keep coming up with ideas because i'm allowed to? I believe in the Devs abilities, and know (with some ironing) they could be implemented.. I'm trying to think of new players mostly,if i were introduced to this game expecting a fair fight and got proto stomped almost every match....i'd have uninstalled Dust the same day I installed it.(luckily my experience was unique and i didn't) EVE has high sec. but Dust has nothing even close. A redline that MIGHT kill you? CONCORD would kill you.(at least destroy your ship) This is why i suggest such things. |

I like it. How would this affect tanks however? They will simply camp at the edge of the redline until someone comes for them. Jist curious.
Dust is a Pay to Win Game.
Only people don't want to pay ISK. Tanks ain't OP, just buy more tanks
Peace, and stop QQing

EDIT: #1 of that list being my preference If this was implemented, redlining a team would make them completely helpless. They would have no way to fight back from the redline! Can you imagine how stupid it would be if you couldn't fire weapons into the redline? Well this is just as bad, except the other way around.
What's the difference between an immobile Minmatar ship and a pile of garbage?
The pile of garbage is more lethal.

the only real way to stop red line camping would be to have some thing put in the game to have the loosing team spawn some where else other then in their spawn points and out of line of sight of the winning/camping team.
what i suggested was to prevent red line sniping this could also be added to rail turreted tanks after 5 minutes their rain of terror is over and they have to play with every one else.
or after 5 minutes their red arrow pointed at their head becomes visible to the enemy team has tho they have been scanned.
another solution would to be that the players trapped in the red line become invulnerable to enemy fire/warbarge strikes aka orbitals, and their guns would also be locked. |

I had an idea about getting out of the redline. What about tunnels that go underground, starting from the redline structure, leading to points further in the map. The catch is, at the end, they come up, and the player has to drop out, so they can't go back in, and neither can enemies.

Not saying it's an AWESOME idea, just something that came to me while I was playing. |
