You know how weapons has a racial counterpart(dropsuits, tanks, LAVs, rifles). How do the SMGs, the mass driver, and laser rifle work into this system? Will all races have SMGs or just the Minmatar and Caldari? If the latter, what's the possible counterpart sidearms that the Gallente and Amarr have? The same question goes with Laser Rifles and Mass Drivers along with what are the Laser Rifles and Mass Drivers' classified group? By that, I mean are they considered suppression weapons since that's what they're mostly used for? Also what would be the possible "suppression" weapons for the Gallente and Caldari? We likely won't get racial variants of those weapons, at least not anytime soon. Edit: I forgot about the Flaylock and Bolt pistols. I guess every race will get a Pistol and SMG. That was my line of thinking until I thought about the Bolt Pistols and Flaylock. I guess that makes sense about the special weapons.
