i want a cheap effective run and gun fit
i know i am going to use 2 std flaylocks 1 std hive 1 enhanced sidearm dmg mod
what should i put in the rest of the slots?

Not worth getting into the suit, Your inferior to anyone with similar ability and a different racial suit.
Be better to get something else and save SP for the suit later maybe. |

You only get one more missile at proto level and that's only for the regular one, the Breach still only gets two.

I had some fun with running that style, though it's highly inefficient.
Assault m1
Twin std flayloks
Compact hive
Flux nade
1-2x complex damage mod
1 shield extender
0-1 shield recharge
Cardiac regulator/kincat
Kincat/shield regulator
Mine uses gn/20 specialists, though i prefer using them on my adv scout, funny taking out heavies with AR/flay combos.

If you're committed, I'd recommend proto sprint mods, drop the hive for a stable scanner (you won't live long wnough for the hive) then whatever shields you can fit with what's left.

well the goal is to flux past the shields then missile bombardment , i want to make sure i keep fluxes ready

I've killed heavies with standards, though it's hardly competitive, they have to either be REALLY bad heavies or you just have to be THAT good, like Nova knifers.
Edit: please run this and tell me how you do, i'm quite interested in if i should dust off ye ol flaylock fit, or just run em on my scout like i already do.

Please, for the love of god, don't do it. The only thing those flaylocks will blow up is your own head, via the inside of your mouth, and I wouldn't be able to live with myself if I allowed that to happen.
The only semi-viable...ish way to run a FL on a Minmatar assault is a Core FL secondary with a Viziam/Carthum ScP primary. I've tried to make it work plenty of times, and my advice to you: just don't. Get yourself a nice Combat Rifle, Assault Rifle, or some other decent weapon and save yourself the grief and self loathing that I have endured.
While you're at it, get yourself a new dropsuit too. The Minmatar assault is definitely the least viable Medium suit, I would even suggest the Gal Scout over it. It has a very different module layout, but it can pretty much do any of the Min Assault's roles and do them much better. It's faster, easier to fit, can tank better, and can actually flank effectively. |

With the release of more racial options, CR and sub/flay is a good combo, and twin wielding flays at lv4 assault gives 8 shots, almost a 3rd flaylock!
Smgs damage per clip is typically 200 or so BEHIND an AR of same tier, however that clip bonus raises it to 100-300 ABOVE the same tier AR.
It's pretty nice as you can now 'twin wield' Ar's, or allow to easily fit cheaper weapons as you're not truly disadvantaged.

im gonna work towards mnassault 4 and flaylock profenciency 5 along with the reload skill
but even if i do hate the suit ill probably just strap on diffrent sidearms till i try them all

Coming from a pure mk.0 user, if you choose to use this suit AND you are using for the sidearm perks...save yourself the headaches and take your profile dampening to level 5 asap. The lack of ehp is crippling annd even more so when your effective range is 30m. Trust me, stay off the scanner, you will thank yourself later. |

M-1 Assault is probably the worst Standard Assault suit in the game.
You're much better off using the M/1 Basic Frame for now.
DUST is so broken, even my PS3 refuses to let me play it.

Double flaylock is great but too low "Ammo" you'll need a good light weapon like AR or a shield damaging weapon.

m1 lloadout
Lows:
1x complex dampener
1x complex kin cat (can run basic armor as well)
Highs:
1x complex dmg mod
2x whatever you can fit
Then put your sidearms and flux.
Flank flank flank flank. Even now at level 2, try running 2 damps to see what it's like. |
