People will have a certainly longer time allowed in their own redline or it could stay the same I don't care, this is about giving scouts a job.
We're fast, our knives kill instantly an a lot of us kill snipers even if suicide is necessary to get them, so let's make a equipment resistance mod. I dunno what the theory of redline is that one team can be in theirs an not the other, poisonous gas that only kills you in the other teams side or whatever , nobody has ever wondered this?
It would be cool if it effected all of us so we couldn't hide there, like damn if you wanna give up just leave the battle so a new guy with more heart can try an help instead of 8 guys on my team doing nothing while the other 8 die, so you skill into resistance mods, one to stay in your red line for a long time an the other type to have scouts run the redline for a very minimal time.

everyones redline is the same except when it comes to your own spawn areas. you could say they are protected by the mcc. there is not poison gas or anything like that. your in a sealed dropsuit remember. its just a safe area to spawn and an area restriction.
remember your under contract to attack/defend and the contract provided provided the clones so they are not likely to let you walk out of the combat area.

no they don't. if your in the enemys redline then your in their safe zone and not yours. so yes you and him may be in combat with each other but there is a hulking mcc sitting right above you. would it not be plausible that it killed you while protecting its safe zone.

A logical explanation, until you realize the redline does not exist solely under the MCC. If it has that kind of range, it should just instakill all the enemies on the field and be done with it. ![P](https://forums.dust514.com/Images/Emoticons/ccp_p.png)
its 2 tier. look at it like this. there is a battleground border which the contractor does not want you to leave. leave it and they will terminate your clone (their clone). mcc's come in and encroach on that area and enforce a safe area in that boundary to protect their own spawn point while concentrating all other fire on the enemy mcc.
its not dissimilar to RL. you land your forces and setup a protective perimeter but the battlefield is far from protected by you. you advance outwards towards the enemy who do the same thing. you push them back until all they have left is their safe area. leaving the battlefield could be deemed as deserting.
in dust terms: 1) retreating past your safe spot away from the enemy is leaving the battlefield (deserting - clone terminated by contract issuer) 2) moving out to the side of the area is also leaving the battlefield area, this redline is the same for both sides and both contract issuers treat this the same way (deserting - clone terminated by contract issuer) 3)entering the enemy safe zone which should in all likelihood be the most fortified area on the map would make you KOS. its plausible the mcc killed you, its also plausible the contract issuer doesn't want you anywhere near the enemy mcc or ground spawn as they want you to protect the structure and not go out glory hunting so they could have implemented the same clone termination if you attempt to do so.
the fact both side redlines are slightly different is irrelevant. the goal is to defend or attack the structure while assisting the mcc in its attack on the other mcc. if you are in the enemy redline you are doing neither. if you are in your own then you could be deemed as providing support
