Honestly all the Proto Assault suits are way too over priced for what they do.

Because some of us had to skill into Amarr medium to level 5 before we could start skilling into Amarr assault back when Uprising deployed. That's the only reason I have it at level 5. But I have been running an allotec plasma cannon with the basic proto frame for a while for funsies.

So you get it sooner, but the passive bonuses can be handy on the assault and logi suits. Also, basic frames are stupidly overpriced. lol

And immediately after that, they issued a(n optional?) respec because they changed it to only a level 3 requirement to unlock specialist roles (after much forum raging). If you still have level 5 that's your bad, lol, you had your chance to get your SP back for lvl4+5.

Exactly! lol And really, there's no good reason not to run ScR. Carthum or Viziam with a complex mod or two and you're pretty much set for the game.

Best part is that the bonus applies to all levels of the assault suit, so if you don't need a 3/3 layout, you can still get 25% heat reduction on an A-1 provided that you have Amarr Assault to lvl 5.

I giggle when people mention prices on suits. The prototype of what I wear costs 94,425 ISK... for the suit alone. lol. I never get the pleasure of using this thing because, well, I feel as though something truly demanding needs to arise before I use that suit to combat. A-I is good enough for me.

but a logi is useful and therefore has a greater intrinsic value.
my advanced scout has less ehp than a starter fit. not enough cpu or pg to fill all it's slots, and not enough slots to do it's job.
