hey i'm sure most people have seen them in action.. and i dont think i really need to explain them to much.
how do you guys feel about them? like the time to detonate, the range and the damage for example?
fair game? cheap? weak? |

I think they are fine, the only problem I find is the blast radius, they are all the same. There should be a slight increase. when a bsc explosive is the same as a proto, you know something is wrong. |

You don't want to deal with a tank set up a perimeter or trap then harass it. If the tanker drives into the beep without hardeners or some fitting they die. It's not like they can't hear that thing or that the detection is large so it would be the tankers fault for not paying attention. I find proxi's to work OK they need to be set in formation for a good effect, They can be buggy and not detonate, but overall they are OK
RE the difference among the tiers shows clearly with the blast radius and their AV capabilities, but they seem to be good and they are most certainly avoidable

i feel like they allow players a ohko for little player skill. the range is too forgiving and can kill too easily when ff is on, often hitting players behind a point or cru when theyre trying to help.
i feel a redcution in range, a x second timer for arming the device and detonation would be great. players could still drop res and detonate them, but it would require them to shoot the explosive or have it set up prior.
i feel spamming them and running away is really forgiving for the user and requires low skill compared to things like a forge gun or sniper headshot.
a proto grenade is 1/3rd the damage. maybe the damage vs infantry could be reworked, making it 750 and proxys 1500. |
