A nice suit can amplify your offensive force greatly.
It's not a weapon, but it's something that raises your performance to new levels. Not to mention that there's no t3 dropsuit thread and I didn't want to start one with the premise of ripping off other games.

...I didn't mean that they should literally steal the IP. I was talking about mechanics, which definitely could be justified with any kind of handwave.
We are talking about extremely expensive high-grade stuff here, possibly with very hard handling (See: The masses of people that never got the hang of the Crysis 1 nanosuit) in addition to high costs. |

I'm afraid you dont understand electronics.
The capacitor needs charge time, too.
So, you might eliminate the spool time from the FIRST shot, but not the rest.
What you want is a battery expansion pack, so you get double the amps, so half the spool time consistently, I'd guess.
That would mean, either:
a) module
b) sidearm slot
c) "Heavy" rail rifle (Oh yeah i want this....)

I am hoping to see something similar to what Ghost Recon did with their customizable weapons.
By replacing parts on a rifle we could change the way it works.
Different barrels for range and /or accuracy.
Triggers that change rof or charge time.
Side rails for laser pointers and lights.
Stock lengths that change tracking speed.
Each weapon would have six or seven slots but on only three or four could have mods in them. The mods don't need to do much but they need to be noticeable to the user. I also think T3 rifles should be expensive and SP intensive. Also, much like T3 ships in EVE, I think that a T3 weapon should have only one or two classes of weapons. T3s only have one ship hull size because they are so powerful.
We are crying about TTK being too low now and we want to add T3 to the mix? I think we should work out the suit problems then maybe we could work on a different weapon system. I love the idea but we need to work out our current problems before we make more.
