Running solo in FW with my Gallente brothers & sisters and it feels lovely.
I don-¦t know what-¦s going on with the Caldari but they seem to be unable to fight on a battlefield. Like shooting rubber ducks floating around in a small pond. |

The other day, we played a team that took HALF OUR SHIELDS! I was impressed.

if you would just take a 5 seconds look at the teams you would notice your side with like 2+ full squads and maybe 2 NPC noob corps players and on the caldari side they seem to have a 10NPC noob corp cap that needs to be filled before any game starts.

There is barely anybody fighting for Caldari. Most people on Caldari side are either newbros or people who have checked all 4 factions who are thrown into Caldari matches to fill up matches. So there's no real matchmaking going on. Mainly scotty is just throwing newbros at you so there can be a match at all.

See, those of you wanting to fight for Caldari are doing it wrong. FW is fantasy land, and no one wants to fight for the corporate monsters. The Amarr are attempting to do it right, trying to rally a crusade. You Caldari need to do the same, follow your lore, put your money where your mouth is, pay me and I'll fight for you.

The answer is simple.
- All faction contracts have identical terms - it is known that one side has the advantage - You get paid far more for winning and it costs you less to win for the advantaged side. - We fight for profit
There is zero incentive to fight for the Caldai.
- You have lousy coworkers - You lose more fittings - Far more frustration - Lousy compensation for losing - No gain in standing no matter how hard you try so your pay never increases.
The Caldari State is going to have to give competative contract terms give these working conditions or they will never attract enough good mercenaries to make progress.
You would think one of those corporations would have a bean counter on staff that could come to that conclusion. |

No.

Exactly. Loyalty isn't going to bring in ISK or equipment.
But the loyal can and will eventually turn the tides!
And then I will be "loyal" along with them. Funny how that works.
Lore-wise: Calamari are my preferred. Amarricans are my despised.

Considering that the Caldari have a more closed society than the Gallente its a small price to pay in terms of civil liberties to live in a place where your neighbour doesn't spare a thought for you, where your children wont be addicted to recreational drgs before they are 16, and where a government so preachy about protecting the rights of humanity allows men and women to be raped and tortured, independence seeking groups to be oppressed and ignored...

Purely in game terms CCP isn't giving us any reason to be loyal.
They positioned the game as a batch of mercenaries fighting for money. We are businessmen and every bit of incentive is to make money to have an easier time fighting.
The entire backstory lacks any reason to be loyal to any faction. |

The only way I've been able to win Caldari FW is by putting together two ace squads and qsyncing. Sometimes that's even somewhat difficult when the other 4 players are rubberbanding in our MCC.
As for soloing Caldari FW, that's just lunacy. |

The funny thing about the gallente is how they preach for social justice in other territories, but within their own boarders they house a larger poor population than the rest of New Eden combined. These poor have no opportunities, have no hope for the future, struggle to stave of starvation, no education, and worry about even having shelter.
It has been said that it is better to be a slave in amarr than a poor person within the gallente boarders.

Neither Caldari nor Gallentee society is evil, yet they fight and spill blood nonetheless. If the politicians really cared about their people they would declare peace and work together, but they don't, do they?
No, they trump up reasons to fight and kill each other. So why should I do anything other than make them pay for the privilege of killing each other?

I'm not advocating team killing. I'm saying that the general GAL or CAL citizen wouldn't shoot each other, nor even hate each other if it were not for the politicians inciting violence for their own ends.
I might be induced to do the general population a favor, but fighting isn't a real favor. All it does is impoverish their economy and advance the selfish aims of the politicians. I'm not hurting them by charging them full price, I'm just making the selfish ruling elite pay full price for their ill gotten gains. |

Caldari are mostly disorganized and have a high concentration of newbs in militia gear. However, of the last 5 Caldari FW I remember playing with good squads (not casual squads that just decide to do FW after a few pubs) I think I've won 4 of 5. You need a good team to win Caldari; if you go solo, you'll end up with 15 academy newbs in militia gear on your side. Anyone could beat them. Saying you never lost a match in 6 days for Gallente is like saying you're stuck in the academy and have yet to lose after 6 days.
