Please remove the fatigued jumping feature. Stamina should not effect jump height. I run and then all of a sudden I can't hurdle a 6-inch metal frame. Lame.

That goes right in line with ideas like "give us a vaulting feature". I really hope advanced movement options are next on CCP's list. |

I like the idea of fatigued jumping, It keeps the bunny hopping down. But some of the things you can't just step over on these maps are ridiculous.
Please work on vaulting, how much different code wise is it from climbing a ladder? Or would it change map design to much if suddenly we were able to get places we couldn't before?

This is exactly right. My merc constantly gets caught up on subtle obstacles. This causes me immense psychological anguish.
A soldier would clamber over obstacles 2 feet high or less without a second thought, fatigued or not. This needs to be coded into the mobility routines.

Due to the limited repertoire of actions that the merc avatars express, i.e. jump, sidestep, rotate, forward, back, we are forced to use jump to surmount even minor obstacles when a ramp or step is not present. Until avatars are granted the ability to step over and climb, we are limited to jump, and as there are many minor obstacles less than a couple of feet high, jump is a necessary ability in order to negotiate even the most mildly bumpy terrain. I often have to stop and wait for my stamina to recover in order to hurdle onto a 6-inch platform where the ground is uneven. It's goofy.
Yes, fatigue can affect jump height, but not to the degree represented in the simulation, so let's just remove the feature as being ludicrous.

I'm ok with it but wouldn't mind some minor changes like:
- Reduce stamina cost to 20% (I can except 25%) so I can jump at least one more time and I don't have to wait as long b4 I can perform another jump.
- Increased fatigue jump height to something reasonable.

Dude have you done physical education?
I do hurdles & my stamina doesn't affect my leap/jump height, & since DUST is in the future & these clones wearing Exoskeeliton Suits, those suit will be doing most of the work than your own body, so no merc should even be fatigued while using exoskelliton suits...

ok i want you to run a mile with 200 pounds of weights on your back then try to jump something i will sit there with a camera and record you staking it
stamina effect everything running and jumping if you are worn out your body will struggle to do tasks you would easily be able to do
dont think they should remove the jumping fatigue

Totally agree with this point. Don't mind how the mechanic cuts down on bunny hopping, but movement over obstacles needs to better.

Maybe a much bigger stamina pool with a terrible or nonexistent recharge (per clone) would be better. Or jumping modules. Heavies that could jump onto buildings would be awesome. |
