Word of advice...
Getting to ADV level for most items, and level 3 in most of the main skills is a ton better than trying to go to level 5 in certain skills. You can probably get 10x the amount of skills to level 3 than you can to level 5, which is CRUCIAL early on. Most adv items are very good, heck...I have 28 million sp and I still use things like basic injectors, shotguns, plates, and especially suits.
Some skills you shouldn't even bother with until late game anyways, especially skills that reduce minor amounts of cpu/pg for stuff. The weapon upgrades like ammo and reload are also more late game stuff.
Exceptions to this rule:
Damage Mods
Shield Extenders
Armor Repairers
Your favorite prototype suit (choosing the right one is always the hardest part, only do it after you've gotten to 10 million sp and have your core skills in place, along with the right equipment and weapons)

13.6 (ish) sp. 1 active booster and 1 passive booster.
Been here since early February of this year. This is my second toon (started him in may).

I've got like, 21mil SP, after eight months. With one 30-Day Passive Booster, and one 30-Day Active Booster.
Some people probably have over 40mil SP by now.
DUST is so broken, even my PS3 refuses to let me play it.

Thanks everyone. I'm debating on whether or not I should spend my next 2 million going god mode or getting proto vehicle armor/shield/turret + my infantry gear to advanced. Not looking foward to the 9.5 mil or so to get my vehicle fitting optimizations done.
And yeah I read a ton of guides when I began playing and test things out on my alts before committing. |

28 million, played since E3 build through to the last SP reset which I believe was in Chromosome IIRC. Always had active and passives going. I probably missed 700k-1.2 mill since that reset but have generally been pretty religious about hitting cap. I'm not one of those ++ber mercs though who play countless matches after cap as I play other games too. |

I'm at 26 million, started on 5/15, the day after Uprising came out. If you're on both passive 30d omegas and regular 30d actives, you can earn up to 1 mil SP a week - no event, just playing a lot of ambush after cap. I've done it.
Now I'm booster free and earn SP at a snail's pace. Doesn't matter much to me as there's nothing I'm dying to get, skill or suit-wise. |
