It's possible to kill tanks with AV, there's no doubt. But a decent tanker in a well fit tank can laugh off multiple proto AV players. If they have infantry support it's virtually impossible. And the teamwork it requires means you are virtually giving the match to the enemy if they have remotely decent blueberries on their side.
Buff AV to 1.6 levels and put a heavy penalty on stacked hardeners.

Yeah, let's take less than a few weeks of tanks not be rolling deathtraps for anyone except the players with nearly all their SP in them that have spent months coming up with fits to let them be even slightly effective, and put them right back where they used to be. You know what the best part is? I'm not even a tanker, and as a Dropship pilot I'm sick and ******* tired of my chosen role in this game getting jerked around because all anyone talks about is tanks. Well I haven't taken out a single dropship with my swarms so there's that.
But a zero SP rail tank can pop dropship after dropship. Maybe tanks don't need any work, perhaps just limiting them to two per side. I don't know the answer and don't spend a lot of time contemplating vehicle balance, but it's not hard to tell that things are just as unbalanced as they were just different variables involved now.
