I've simply never liked the concept of a cluster **** of infantry, air vehicles and ground vehicles, all on one map.
Yet that's what the entirety of the multiplayer aspect is of BF4. A huge clusterfuck of nonsense. And it WORKS.
But that's the crazy part. It sounds like a bad idea in the eye's of Dust514, but that is because there's no ******* balance in Dust..
.the infantry vs vehicle combat makes sense in BF4, because a vehicle can **** up infantry just as easily as infantry can **** up vehicles. at least, in my 6 hours of playing the game....not once have i been annoyed at something that was so blatantly unbalanced.
When I'm in a vehicle, i can die to specialized infantry just as easily as another enemy vehicle. There's no differencein firepower between the two. both forms of firepower can destroy their targets with equal impunity.
Dust has been struggling with these game mechanics for far too long. I've always wondered upon the argument of "will i play dust now that the ps4 is out", and now that i own a ps4 with BF4 and CoD Ghosts, with Dark Soul 2, and gran tourismo 6 and destiny on preorder, i can easily say my answer is:
"No, i will not play a game so horribly underbalanced"
Edit - CoD Ghosts ain't bad either for a twitch shooter....a bit more twich imo then even Black Ops 2...but, still oddly enjoyable.
This game has meaning when you lose something. The stats you accrue on this game wont turn meaningless when the next yearly installment comes out (because there isn't going to be another installment, just improvements on what CCP already has). This game is 100% free to play and will continue to give you free updates for the foreseeable future. In this game you can effect the in game livelihoods of several dozens if not hundreds of other players
. None of that can be found to the same degree on any battlefield game. While battlefield definitely has its positives, I think ill be sticking with dust. You can do whatever you want though!
