i'd pick the corps that have chat channels available first, jump in a few, and see how you like it. However, that will be hit or miss. My first jump into a corp turned out to be a much less active corp than advertised. My second chat, I decided against the corp. My third and final was when I posted in the recruitment forums. I got a corp that is fairly active with a VERY active alliance. They do regular PC, are fun to hang with and its awesome to be part of something bigger than just my little corp. Good luck on your search!!

Miokai Zahou wrote:Thanks again everyone for the replies and helpful tips. I've always wanted to try out PC although I think my K/D ratio isn't to spectacular (1.72) but I think 21 million sp might help me out out on this. The only issue is that I use a controller and my ps3 is hooked up to the TV and not the computer so when people say channels is it in game or something like team speak or vent?
1.72 he says. If you want to see bad kdr, come see me.
When they say channels, they're talking about the chat system attached to the right side of your screen. You have basic 'local', 'corp', 'alliance', etc channels there. If you get invited to one or search for one (scroll all the way down to the '+' and you can search for a channel), you get to partake in additional areas of chat. Some channels require a password so you can't just jump into any you want. These chat channels are as various as drunk players hooking up on a friday, suit specific, or even for eve players only to connect with us dust bunnies to help with OBs.

Oh and since dust is kb/m compatible, I just plug in my keyboard to make chatting a bit faster with those that don't have mics. But if you have a mic, you can activate any channel to use audio and negate having to type at all.
