Good job standing your ground. I'm glad Sony had a hand in fixing this. They have always been a decent company.
CCP could have taken care of it. We had a guy who mistakenly bought the $100 crap pack instead of the dren pack. Sony had to step in there too. You can't make a company be honest. It seems Sony is just cleaning up after CCP. One of the reasons they will always have my business.

Or they could make quality products that do not change.
here's something else. Free lavs. We used to get them for free. Everyone was used to having one. They then took them away and charged $100 for them. We all ate it up. No one cared. This practice is known as a taste in the drug community its how kids get hooked.

The BPOs were not stolen, there is literally no other way to look at it - any claims to the contrary are either lies or just stupid. Plus y'know, the EULA, also known as the legally binding contract you signed - I suggest you read it next time.
Angry rant over, hardly a literary masterpiece as it's around 3am for me right now.
EDIT: How much AUR did you even pay for the BPOs in the first place? Cause if you got them back in the beta days when they were 30 - 40 AUR each - you're the only thief here, plain and simple.
EDIT2: Toned down a bit 'cause forum bans are annoying. If LG came into my house, took my TV, and then gave me store credit for an LG store that no longer sells TVs, I'd call that theft. Yep, shame that scenario has nothing to do with what actually happened. Going with your analogy - the LG store still sells TVs, just different models. In many cases LG gave people more store credit than they spent to begin with, and while TVs cost more, other things like phones don't. Finally, it's not like LG took a functional TV from you, they replaced took an out of date model that didn't work anymore. All in all, that sounds like pretty good service - not theft.
taking real money and refunding in game money while the client had no clue this would happen. Most of us are just used to getting screwed by ccp. If Sony steps in and takes care of their clients more power to them. It seems to me the eulas were changed also. I remember having to re agree to access my account and things I had previously purchased.

This practice is known as a taste in the drug community its how kids get hooked. That's the nature of online games, things change - the free LAV thing was changed to help stop the murder taxi thing, and it's not like they're expensive. Also, that $100 thing BS - there are no discrete LAV BPOs, and the ones that cane with the old Veteran and Elite packs included rather a lot of other things, including many other BPOs.
they did come with other things. All standard except scrambler pistol. When I bought it I got an AR to match the other five I had. A scout suit I already had. Assault suit which I had. I bought it for the lav, pistol(got took), and a heavy bpo.

I remember having to re agree to access my account and things I had previously purchased. Thing is, you didn't pay real money, you used in game money so that's what you got back. Yes you bought that in game money with the real stuff - but you could have used the AUR to buy anything, and you can us the refunded AUR to buy anything still actually in the game.
this would be a decent argument if there was another way to purchase things. If I wanted a sever suit there was no way to buy one. I had to purchase aurum then buy it. The reason I spent real money was the sever suit. Did I get real money back when they made it a racial suit. No. I got aurum. So me as a consumer had to buy a $100 pack if I wanted a bpo logistics suit I could use. Are you sensing a theme. They just keep reselling the same old garbage. And people like you allow it to happen. Me too I guess.

/c
CCP has gotten all the money they are going to get from me. There will always be people who don't know any better, so they will still make money.

Simple put
If I buy apples and they are rutten I should get A ; new apples B ; money back
Not pears insted
On a others matter CCP had a sale of bpo just before removing them from the game. Then they took away the bpo and gave you aur insted. I don't know the leagal tearm in English but it's actually somthing you can take to curt in most countries regardless of the disclaimer you sighn before starting the game.
Then again who drags some one to court over 10 dollars that's wy they get away with it.
Regards you ahvent bought anything with real money in DUST though. you payed CCP to allow you access to content that was specifically stated as being CCP's sole discretion of existence, you own nothing in DUST, and as long as you play DUST, you play and use CCP's property at their grace, if they want to take an item away and give you a different one, then that is their right to do so. you people shoulda been grateful to get AUR back at all, plenty of BPO's in EVE can no longer be used at ALL (such as the python Mine BPO) and the people who invested to buy it never got anythign back, they were just told "hey you got a collector item dust magnet now!"
what an ass kisser.
