It really does irk me that people like you think you're so damn justified, hurting other people to gain your own advantage is WRONG no matter how you slice it..... I honestly hope that a lawsuit gets filed against you for this, which is very possible. I love this game and if there is a bunch of legal crap ruining the development, then A LOT of other people are just as hurt........
LOL yea you got your 10$ back aw, some people have spent hundreds on this game and will spend more, they like this game they just want to play it. To see it be destroyed will hurt them more than it hurt the chump change you put in.
Good day sir, i hope you get banned from this game and i never have to see your name in the forums again.
The irony of of using the high road to defend shady business practices is lost on you I see.

I suggest to anyone else who wants their money instead of that worthless aur to call sony and let them know what pathetic gip bags ccp are and you want your money back... worked for me. I honestly hope that your account gets banned for this. But they stolen nothing from you, CCP refunded your BPO purchase(s) and you have the same exact value that you did BEFORE you purchased the BPO(s). You effectively stolen from CCP by having Sony refund you $10, which of course is going to be billed to CCP.
It's not the exact same value if the currency has no guarantee on any of its purchases, and can no longer purchase the items it was originally intended to.

The BPOs were not stolen, there is literally no other way to look at it - any claims to the contrary are either lies or just stupid. Plus y'know, the EULA, also known as the legally binding contract you signed - I suggest you read it next time.
Angry rant over, hardly a literary masterpiece as it's around 3am for me right now.
EDIT: How much AUR did you even pay for the BPOs in the first place? Cause if you got them back in the beta days when they were 30 - 40 AUR each - you're the only thief here, plain and simple.
EDIT2: Toned down a bit 'cause forum bans are annoying.
If LG came into my house, took my TV, and then gave me store credit for an LG store that no longer sells TVs, I'd call that theft.

I make something like an extra 5% more cash because of the BPOs I run. If that's P2W, those FW boosters are a far greater concern, and PC's profitability is game-breaking.

EDIT2: Toned down a bit 'cause forum bans are annoying. If LG came into my house, took my TV, and then gave me store credit for an LG store that no longer sells TVs, I'd call that theft. Yep, shame that scenario has nothing to do with what actually happened. Going with your analogy - the LG store still sells TVs, just different models. In many cases LG gave people more store credit than they spent to begin with, and while TVs cost more, other things like phones don't. Finally, it's not like LG took a functional TV from you, they replaced took an out of date model that didn't work anymore. All in all, that sounds like pretty good service - not theft.
How are TVs still available in the analogy? BPOs are no longer on sale. And the BPOs taken were not out of date, the new content we have contains equivalent modules to them. They could have easily been replaced.
And LG sells phones. Seriously? You'd be happy having your TV taken away, so long as you were given access to a phone that you now know could be taken away just as easily, and that you probably didn't want in the first place?
Gimme a break.

Congrats, I guess. A triumphant personal victory. Hopefully it doesn't come at our expense.
I think I speak for (the majority of) the community when I say you are no longer welcome as part of it. Please attempt to muster a little bit of respect for us and kindly leave. You will be replaced. You will not be missed.
Thank you for playing Eve - Dust 514. I hope we never see you again.

Why don't you leave, if you can't stand the game's community?
Alternatively we can actually try to contribute to the quality of the game.

I don't see how that relates. If you don't value your money as much as others, then you're simply not qualified to contribute anything to the discussion.

That's an awesome $10 scam you pulled on CCP, congrats!
I hope you get banned so hard, that your children will not be able to enter New Eden. Because obviously you will not leave. You don't have balls to. You will stay here and continue to poison this community, like the rest of the self entitlement movement. DIAF.
The refund isn't worth anything if the currency has no worth left.

Alternatively we can actually try to contribute to the quality of the game. You can leave too, as you seem to care more about your own personal gain over the community. The reason why Im not going to leave is I have fun playing dust. Am I to understand that this is how you contribute? Calling CCP and their game sh!t? Complaining and whining about something so trivial? Stomping your feet cause you didn't get your lollipop? I love the dust community, I can't stand self entitled idiots like you. The community would be much better off if the "bpo rights" group left. I'm sooooo sorry they took out some military mods, I'm so sorry they gave you a complete refund! I'm soooo sorry that you think the world should revolve around you, it doesn't. Grow up or get out. Your kind is the only group I would actually go up to and curse at during fan fest, everyone else I would have a great time meeting. You are the lowest of the low. Please leave.
My point was that I don't intend to leave. Apparently you missed that. You also seem to have confused the concept of entitlement and the concept of a fair trade.
I haven't suffered for these changes, since the only BPOs I own are ones bought in packs, so your assessment of my objections is way off.
All I am doing is advocating a higher level of business practice. I'm not calling the game sh*t, nor is this issue trivial. The game relies upon the money made from Aurum sales, and the reliability of its developers.
If you're happy being treated like a chump for your custom, go right ahead and shovel more money into CCP's pockets for an inferior product. I myself have some standards thanks.

It provides an example of how customer service can and should be done. I'll bet nobody at Sony squealed "EULA! EULA!" when they realised they were dealing with a genuinely disgruntled customer.

THE GREY CARDINAL wrote:I love how people talk about how they have standards yet often still engage with the products of these "evil and shady corporations." Oh yeah, great integrity to those standards. If I truly felt that a company was an dodgy/shady/**** I would boycott them and their services like I did with Capcom after the on disc DLC news and the destruction of many of it's key franchises. So many stupid tools on these forums talk about how **** the game is, how CCP are liars, crooks, useless etc...and yet they stay. Maybe they're dumbass trolls or mentally weak people who are enslaved to the monetary and/ or time investment they've made in the game and can't bring themselves to walk away from it, or maybe they stay 'for the community'. Whatever, if you aren't willing to stand behind your convictions, talking the talk but bing too much of a ***** to walk the walk then kindly STFU because no one really cares to hear you waffle on about you and your opinions. So weak, idiots.
I think those idiots grasp the concept of trying to fix a system before bailing, rather than declaring a loss at the first opportunity and destroying any chance of improvement.

If you feel it's okay to use any excuse to dodge personal responsibility, I don't really care what else you have to say. Your morals are far enough different than mine that it's apples and bricks. I won't support any such position, and in fact would enjoy anyone dodging personal responsibility getting screwed. What can I say, I'm a sinner.
Personal responsibility is not a factor here. Trading standards exist to guarantee a minimum level of consumer rights. Without those, there would be an entire industry built around the ambiguous wording of contracts intended to exploit consumers. Those laws ensure that, no matter what, you have a minimum level of protection you can always rely upon. When you buy something, it's yours, etc etc.
