Everyone seems to focus on the gallente suit like its the only one in the game, because it's the only usable choice.
The minmatar makes a joke of the suit, people picked it before scanners came out an when stamina wasn't a issue an sneaking up on someone with knives was easy because scanning an active scanners an profile damp wasn't a issue then, passive skill bonuses without mods was good enough, BUT NOT NOW!
Two low slots on a scout suit in a low slot favored game is just flat out idiotic!
You need , range , percision an damping skills to 5 ( except pd cuz really there's no point since you can't beat 15db anyway) an the gallente works the same for percision , you need it to five for passive but when are you ever gonna run true scout suits like:
Mk0
2complex percision
Shield
Complex range
Basic pd
Compact hive ( YOU MUST RUN THIS TO LIVE , SO THERE FOR YOU HAVE NO EQUIPMENT SLOT!)
This suit can see an scan like a scout should, but it has crap speed, crap stamina an 285 ehp! With all upgrade skills maxed!

If you don't run a armor rep, you MUST lose a equip slot to a compact hive .
Then you need one pd
Now you have two slots left one for range, one for HP
So now your slow, no stamina an hardly any HP !
Med an heavies basically need HP (shield /armor) an damage mods.
Scouts need, stamina, speed, percision , range, HP ( shield/armor) armor rep, dampeners, compact hives, all to be juggled on a suit with the lowest slots an LEAST amount of CPU/pg then you gotta max your grid an fitting optimization just to fit this crap an too boot, nova knives don't have a optization skill an unless your gallente you can hardly fill all your slots with good gear at proto without abandoning a grenade or usin a proto an basic weapon!
Scouts either need a +1 armor regen so they can use their equip( especially minmatar , all suits have it except the scout) or they need better base stats so their not left juggling stuff they will never fit or skill mods they will never use for a crappy 10% bonus an drop millions of sp to hardly have a passive edge for the things the suit should already have!
These are the true scout flaws, I have both proto an have been a pure scout for a year an honestly ccp doesn't care , we ve all wasted our breath an precious time typing for a year for what a 6 meter scan buff?!!
