I'm also going to guess this increases the shields so any attack does less damage to it which is very frustrating when your at my level of exp, which isn't a very high level.
So I'm curious is anyone else having similar issues and do the more experienced players have any pointers they would like to share about how to combat vehicles? The wep I'm using now on my AV setup is swarm launchers as that's all I can afford to unlock right now :( To add one thing, one of he main reasons may be that while previous tankers have adapted their tactics post 1.7 Many of the AV players on your team have not. Most people are loath to start using prox mines to creat boogie traps and use team work to hem in tanks. It's not enough for one guy with Proto swarms to take on a madrugar, you have to use prox mines AND forge guns to be effective. The other side of this coin is to realize that tankers have become more specialized, the guys who were experienced tankers from before and put the refunded sp into vehicles are going to be really dangerous. When you run into a guy like me (not to brag just an example) who has armor, shield, and core to level 5 with advanced rail, and blaster who rolls with a squad of like skilled tanks, you may not be able to defeat any of them because they are doing everything "right". The current situation (and I do this myself lest the enemy team do it) is to get a bunch of tanks out at the start to get rid of any enemy tanks, a rail then camps the redline to stop any of the opposition calling in tanks or Jihads while anti infantry tanks go to town because AV is not strong enough to eliminate them alone.
It's not fun for anyone. Have you tried using madrugar with hardeners and nitrous with large blaster? I've found that this negates the damage abilities of the rail while providing the speed and turret rotation ability to get critical hits from behind their tank. Iv'e also found that if you have a guy watching over you with a rail and calling out targets, you won't get jumped nearly as often.

If you have another tanker with you, that's just strength in numbers, the outcome is the same regardless of grade of tank. And using a blaster to attack vehicles is suicide. As for strength in numbers I can agree with that but the idea would be the same if you had a guy with a mic and a sniper rifle. As for blaster tank suicide, using smart tactics and staying moving while in an engagement has saved me multiple times. So I don't quite think it is suicide. Note the caveats is you can't do it as well against a very well fitted gunlogi but you have to have some incomparable a in a game.

Suicide is an exaggeration, but the same smart tactics are better used with a rail or missiles depending on the tank. They're just more effective. If in a fight of tankers with equal skill the others will always win, specifically because of alpha. They're capable of doing damage even while hardness are up whereas the boasters cannot. Blasters are just designed for infantry, hence my saying using them specifically for anti tank purposes is suicide. Yes I've roasted tanks with blasters, but only on technicalities like waiting for his hardners, 2v1, ect. You need alpha in a straight up fight. I can agree with that, you and I should roll tanks together with some of the guys I teach at D-Uni. Happy hunting and good night!

Completely false. I used my FG to kill 6 tanks today playing on my heavy alt. Didn't need anyone else, didn't need a tank. Just my trusty assault forge and the willingness to actually do a job. Running AV isn't difficult if you have the right tools for the job. If you think those tools include things that track for you, then you have failed the skill test necessary to do AV work. This patch has been out for two weeks, you would think people would have gotten themselves to at least an advanced FG by now. I have to agree, the most dangerous thing, I've encountered when running even a Madrugar. Because of my slowness and tendency to get stuck. XD
