-What it is:- This high slot module increases the speed of the first second of sprinting by the % of the module, at the cost of a good chunck of your stamina everytime you press L3. The high stamina usage means the user can't sprint for long after that, meaning that it's only useful for closing short distances. It's used to close the distance to your enemy quickly in CQC situations, but limits mobility at longer ranges because of the stamina usage.
-List of names I thought of so far:- Kinetic Injector
-Some stats I pulled out of my ass:- Basic: CPU/PG usage - 25/2 Sprint speed increase: 20% Stamina usage: 50% Duration: 1 second
Advanced: CPU/PG usage: 35/3 Sprint speed increase: 25% Stamina usage: 45% Duration: 1 second
Prototype: CPU/PG usage: 45/5 Sprint speed increase: 30% Stamina usage: 40% Duration: 1 second
-Variants:- Sustained: Has more duration, but at increased stamina usage Flux: Has lower duration, but higher speed increase Efficienct: Has lower duration but lower stamina usage
Shield regeneration bonus for Gallente Assault is about as useful as Sharpshooter for Nova Knives.

The loss of stamina could be explained by stress on the body caused by the warping of space from the drive. As another balance factor, it can also create a sound when used. (I realize this is splitting hairs as it doesn't change the functionality, but this explanation seems cooler and more sci-fi to me)
I'd also prefer it be a static amount of stamina. Our jumps already consume a percentage of stamina which irritates me to no end.
Possible Names: Kinetic Warp Partial Warp Drive The % is a balance mechanic.

Krom Ganesh wrote:Cat Merc wrote:Changed it to 65 per L3 press rather than % Thank you. A high static cost can be just as balancing as a percentage cost but would allow for more diversity of fittings. Such as stacking kincats so you cover more ground per jump but can only jump a very limited number of times or stacking cardiac regulators so you can jump more but do not cover as much ground. Other questions: What happens if you press sprint when you do not have as much stamina as the cost? Does it not work, causing you to sprint normally? Does it activate anyways but with a stamina regen penalty? Are you able to stack them? If so, to what effect? (only allowing a single mod would probably be the easiest to balance though) Not enough stamina - Probably the stamina goes negative and then has to regenerate. So 30 - 65 = -35, and say assault regenerates at 10/s. You will have 3.5 seconds where your stamina doesn't regenerate.
Stacking - Considering they do 65 each, I think stacking would work just fine. Would only increase the speed, not time.

Vermaak Doe wrote:Tactical inertia modifier, how does that sound? As far as the idea, I like ot and see it as a window for more movement easing modules and equipment. Inertia modifier sounds better.
