Will also probably create a musicians chat channel.
**Chat channel is "Garage Band"
Don't know about music, but in 1.6 the song was 'Lai Dai Lai Dai Lai Dai'
Feeling the scanner is too simple and off balance?

Good ol' trombone. Now as to the wherabouts of the mouthpiece...
But yeah, in high school i was always either overshadowed by phenominal or showoffy trombonists, but senior year i was able to get 2nd chair.
Edit: i was also learning piano for a while, but i have trouble reading multi-chords.

Very cool. Do you compose for a living? Are we talking contemporary classical music?
Sorry for the late reply. I compose on the side while currently pursuing a degree in Aerospace Engineering. Being as time intensive as both fields are, composition has unfortunately taken a back seat for the time being (I still write small ensemble works, but I don't have the time to complete most of the large works I start during my studies).
As for your other question, my personal mentor is Hans Zimmer's chief assistant at his Remote Control Productions, James Dooley. Through my workings with these two as well as my prior "compositional therapy" sessions with Thomas Bergersen from Two Steps from Hell, I have developed a very tonal style commonly seen in movie, TV, and video game music.
(I relate private composition instruction to seeing a psychiatrist since all it really is is constantly rebounding ideas until you get your "perfect" product haha)
I greatly enjoy being able to talk with other serious musicians and composers. These are not topics I get to talk about on an everyday basis, despite how much I would like to lol. Anyway, I would love to have the chance to share scores with you someday Saberwing. I am sure your style is probably very different than my own which is always a treat to see and more so, hear. |

One of my favorite composers is Ryuichi Sakamoto, any thoughts on him?

He is not someone I listen to regularly since I do not come in contact with his works very often(had to look him up to remind me who he was haha). Also, I'm not too big on piano-centric works due to the fact the timbre is always SO relaxing to me (even Liszt's ridiculousness LOL); maybe it's because I am a low brass musician. Despite the fact that I do not have him running through my head that often, I respect him greatly as a composer and believe his works to be crafted with both innovation and grace. I would put his style in the same category as a lot of the more well-known Japanese visual novel composers :) |
