But the recurve is by far the best.
In an emergency situation, the crossbow takes too long to reload.

Nah you can do it but its a pain in the a$$ and you might have to angle the bow slightly. If you have not done archery before then you'd not have the muscle memory to use a long bow though.
What you'd need is ones of those nasty flimsy yellow re curves Hahahaha.
