I know that there are a large amount of variants to each drop suit, but are there any differences other than Aesthetics? |

You must be new here. I suggest leaving before this game and its forums consumes you...
To answer your question, yes, different dropsuits have different stats/slot layouts.

The different suits are the different races models.
Yellow coloring is logistics. Used for healing/resupplying.
White coloring is assault. Used for killing faster.
Each differs in speed, amount of armor, amount of shields, and slot layout |

Yellow coloring is logistics. Used for 90% brick tanking and slayer fits, 10% healing/resupplying..
White (what) coloring is assault. Used for getting killed faster.
Each differs in speed, amount of armor, amount of shields but shield tanking is pretty worthless, and slot layouts

You can check out the stats in the marketplace by pressing triangle, you'll notice that every single suit is different.

Gallente:More armour focused with least high slots and most low slots. Almost the complete opposite of Caldari(those they share the same CPU/PG for assault)
Amarr:half and half with a slightly higher focus on armour. Have the slowest speed with the highest base ehp(total hit points) and they have the least slots overall with a almost always equal split between them(3/3 for assault I think)
They also have the only 2 heavy suits in the game(3 if you count the commando)
Caldari:heavy shield focus and the 2nd highest high slots(except for Logi I think) and the 2nd lowest low slots. They are the opposite of Gallente.
Minmatar:fastest race with the lowest base ehp. They have the most high slots and the least low slots. Most of the suits have a built in healing system to help compensate for the lack of low slots.
Sorry, this is just a kind of half assed explanation. I'm kind of shopping(though it probably would be much better if I wasn't.
Also the current specialist roles are:
Assault:pretty simple, meant to get in first and kill. Can use light weapons and sidearms. Also has 1 equipment slot. Kind of a all around class. Basic all around stats, good ehp, good speed, good amount of slots ect ect.
Logi:meant to be the overall support, they only have one light weapon slot(except the Amarr Logi) they have the most slots, 2nd lowest speed and base ehp the most equipment slots with 3-4 at proto.
Sentinal heavy:slowest class with the highest base ehp of all suits. Not sure of the overall plan for slot layout since we only have the one suit, but I think they have a overall focus on low slots. Also the only class that can wield heavy weapons(only atm) with a sidearm slot. They are meant to be the heavy hitters that can stand toe to toe with a tank, great for holding a objective and best with in small spaces and in a city and they are at their worst when caught in a open field.
Scouts:fastest class with the least base ehp and lowest slot count. They are meant to be infiltrators and assassins. Have the highest base scan range and lowest scan profile. Basically they hard to find but they have a easier time finding you, they are the eWar masters. They also have the fastest shield recharge rate. Meant for quick engagements and for exploiting the current blob tactics but causing chaos on the backlines of the enemy. Never engage groups, just flank. They have one equipment slot and can equip 1 light weapon and a sidearm.
Sorry, this is just my take on the suits. There is a lot of stuff I'm not covering.

You....have a lot of reading to do. I suggest you go to the rookie training grounds forum and read up on the training guides there to get a better understanding on roles, strategy and ask any questions you have. Otherwise, this is going to be a very, very, very unfun ride for you.

Gentlemen, i mean to ask the differences of a single assult drop suit. I guess i should have been more specific, Are there stat differences between the templar, eon, vemon ect.. dropsuit types. or do they just have different coloring. Im guess right now that you can get these blueprints through rep grinding? but is it just the colors or are there actual stat differences? why would you cant to be repped with a fraction anyway? |

Oh yeah, the "valor" scout has the same stats as the STD scout suit and eon is the same as a mlt suit and the Templar has the same stats as a normal Amarr suit.
