Opposite of Active scanner. Removes targets that are not in view.
Always works on passive scanners.
Has to beat the dB of the Active Scanner. Proto Rsd is stronger than proto Active scanner.

Seriously though, not bad. I think they should also dampen the scans of infantries nearby as well.

I took the name from EVE Online, figured it sort of fitting since it is sort of range dampening, which is what the sensor dampener does in EVE; lower your targeting range or locking speed.
But yeah, Active Jammer would probably fit better. |

Explain how you propose it would work.
Is it hand held or deployable? Spammable or consumable? Does it work for everyone on your team, or only your squad? Etc. |

How about:
-Equipment item, non consumable.
-Works by reacting to active scans without user input (you don't have to hold it to use it, it works by itself)
-Defeats an active scan sweep I using standard precision/profile mechanics.
-Has a cool down. This cool down is half the time of an active scanner cool down, meaning that it effectively needs two scanners working in conjunction to beat it.
Thoughts?

So it's a good job KDR doesn't bother me, really.

It should definitely require the person to actually use it, otherwise it'll obsolete the normal module in most cases. |
