I've been looking at purchasing this, as a little present to myself, and I'm wondering if anyone else owns it? I like survival/horror games, especially if it's super realistic, so it LOOKS good. But I dunno.

from what I've seen it looks good. but if you do pick it up remember it's in alpha and alpha is weird. they don't have all the sounds and stuff in so like if you swing a bat and hit a wall it makes a gun ricochet noise. so it isn't a finished product.

Right, well I was in DUST beta, so I think I can handle as many bugs as they throw at me.

Still in Alpha and very glitchy. Also there's no need to buy it right now because they don't plan on raising the price. Go for it if you want, but don't have any expectations.

I'm going to find a list of current bugs/glitches, and decide whether or not I'd like to purchase it, because I do like playing a game and watching it develop, believe it or not. Glitches and all, I feel that even 1 extra person in Alpha will help a lot with development.

They should NOT be selling a ******* Alpha.
see the message? "do not purchase unless you want to actively support..."
What that means is, P2W, micro-transactions.
Look at the War Z, the most hideous, disgusting, money-grabbing tripe I have ever seen.
They Day Z is similar, they know they will get tarred with the same brush.
So they draw you in, make you invest and then BAM, the game will go to ****.
They're just smart enough to know not to put all this **** in at this stage.
And if there already are microtransactions, well i'll be a son of a gun. |

It's not like that at all. The guy phobias making it android small team are very dedicated to making a quality game. Also they don't plan on jacking up the price when they fully release the game. I feel it is really unlikely that the guy (Rocket) would make any sort of micro transactions.

Have you never played DayZ? There are no micro-transactions, and no P2W. Everyone is given an equal chance to survive through the night and day, using and managing any resources they can find. If it was P2W, they wouldn't have made it so that one death can make you lose EVERYTHING, PERMANENTLY. Then, no one would even purchase the things unless they stayed away from any danger whatsoever, which makes it kind of boring, the exact opposite of what a game is supposed to be.

We have a group of roughly 10 who have bought this and they have a blast with it. We've been watching this for a while and they're big zombie paraphernalia guys so this is right up their alley.
If you youtube DayZ there is tons of vids of hilarious stuff that keeps happening to people who play.

^First Impressions by SideStrafe, a guy that helped popularize DayZ on YouTube, he played before it was really popular. Really good commentator, even had a comentary with Rocket a while back.
