Max tanks per side needs to be 2-3.
This is an FPS with vehcles.. not Tank 514 last time I checked.
WIth only 16 players on each side and the amount of AV it takes to pose a threat to a tank, tanks ability to speed away to cover when their hardeners are down, recall their tank and drop in a new one with the click of a button (and refreshed cooldowns), the low costs of tanks, the imbalance between AV and Tank (rock, paper, scissor... but only rock trumps rock right now) .. etc etc...
5-6 tanks per side will not work, and if the current balance is not adjusted it will only get worse (think flaylock pistol, think Tac AR, think core fused grenades, think murder taxis, etc etc etc)...
History will repeat itself, but instead of an OP sidearm.. we now have OP monster trucks that can be virtually unstoppable when spammed.. I feel bad for anyone who used to enjoy Ambush.
Don't be retards, don't support the current state of this game, don't call it QQ when its True True.

Lets talk about the recall button then. This was added a few months ago, why? It sounded like a good idea at the time, given how expensive vehicles were and all that jazz. Does it have a place in the game now that vehicle prices have been reduced so drastically?
Since you can call in and recall your vehicle "easily" .. should I not have the option to call down a different suit anywhere on the battlefield? instead of having to run to a Supply depot to swap, hoping that the enemy tankers were dumb enough to leave it standing in the first place?
I'm glad that they gave a buff to tanks and dropships... but they went completely bonkers with the buff AND nerf hammer simultaneously. What happened to baby steps CCP? lol
So you are perfectly fine with the ability to have 5-6 tanks on a team? Interesting...
You know what game did vehicles perfectly? Battlefield... they even have modes specifically for tanks and jets, where that is all you do. For people who love tanks that much and want to see epic tank battles, why don't you give that game a try? Until CCP increases the team sizes to 32.. having 5-6 tanks, which can be countered by multiple AV infantry or other tanks, on a 16 man team makes no sense to me. Help me understand how that is fun.

Help me understand how that is fun. You know what game has free vehicles? Battlefield. No one gives a **** when they loose one because they are free, making them weak therefore doesn't matter.
I fail to see any valid point in your post. When I played battlefield I fought tooth and nail in my tanks and helicopters because I am, along with the majority of FPS players, a competitive person who wants to win. The fact that they are "free" has no bearing on the comparison simply because everything in that game is "free"... it has no economy whatsoever.
But if you look at everything else BF3 did with balancing infantry and vehicular gameplay, they did it the best. Do you disagree? Have you even played Battlefield? If not, I could understand why you would bring up this "they are free nobody cares" nonsense of a reply.
You cant call in a beast tank anywhere on the field of battle, up to 5-6 per team... They have set spawn points and 60-90 second respawn timers once they are destroyed. Some maps you have ZERO tanks, other maps your team starts out with three. If you have zero skills in tanks they will be weak, it takes a lot of time and effort to unlock the better equipment to make your tank more effective (this was the case in Dust as well until they overbuffed Militia tanks, hence the root of the current problem). They have numerous counters including but not limited to:
RPG's Javelins (stronger with a laser lock) Anti Tank Mines (2 to destroy a basic tank, 4 to destroy one with reactive armor) Jets Helicopters LAV's Other Tanks Stationariy wire guided missile turrets C4 (strapped to a jeep is even better)
See where I am going with this?
Probably not, because your response was "durp they don't cost anything".... getdafuqouttahere

Explain how limiting the number of tanks doesn't even address the problem? Overpowered Militia no risk high reward tank spam is the ******* problem lol..
We've never seen this problem before, because as I said already prior to the price nerf there was considerable risk involved with calling in a militia tank given the high cost ( compared to an infantry suit for example) and low survivability in a world where many thought that AV was too powerful. Now the script has been flipped, Tanks are more powerful, AV is less powerful.. AND militia tanks are 1/3 the price of a proto infantry suit.
What is the result, low risk high reward tanks, that take zero SP, and every tom **** and harry can call in at a whim, 5-6 per team, able to recall, etc etc etc...
Are you in the tiny percentage of players who enjoys an ambush game of 5-6 tank versus tank battles while the remainder of the infantry players twiddle their thumbs or hope to score a lucky AV kill? If so then I will agree 100%, people with your mindset are the problem, not tanks.. no not at all.
