Shhhhh! Edit the "it's OP" part! The focus is on the NEW rifles now!
Sheesh!
My ScR can't catch a break!

If God made a weapon, it would be....

He did.

Carry on. I think thats what CCP intented it to be, a Gods Weapon...
Most players have no idea how to play to the weapon's strengths tbh, rendering those players rather obsolete. I can honestly say that I only know of 15-17 people who use it that I can TRULY call "elite". It is a high alpha damage gun, yes but it is far (VERY far) from "God-Mode" in an average players hands.

However, I have died using it more than enough times due to the weapon seizing from overheat. Once that happens you are easy pickings for 5 seconds. And of course when on very little hp I have killed myself from the feedback damage. That charged shoot is both a blessing and a curse as it causes enormous overheat issues.
It is probably the best 1 v 1 weapon, but it is quickly overwhelmed against multiple targets due to heat buildup. I run Caldari so I am not sure how much the Amarr Assault suit and the heat reduction bonus helps.
I honestly think the heat buildup is drastic enough to keep the ScR from being OP. I never use it if I know I will engaged multiple targets like in a building or on an objective. Currently it is amazing in certain situations and so so in others.
Absolutely nailed it. SCR IS the king of 1v1's but it fails when engaging 3+ enemies of equal distance. Rule of thumb is IF you encounter a good SCR user as a group, close in on him. If he is worth anything, he WILL kill at least 1, maybe 2. Engaging anything more simultaneously with make him either sieze up (or close to it) or drain his clip, forcing him to rely solely on his sidearm for survival.
Best advice for a SCR user:
1. Stay mobile. 2. Always try to isolate single targets. 3. Utilize cover. 4. Nail that charge shot. If you miss it, your gun will be too hot to attempt an 8-10 shot volley. It will sieze up. 5. Know when your gun will sieze up and use your sidearm as your finisher, if needed. Ammo count will give the clue. Get familiar with it. 6. Hip fire like a M'fer in CQC. It's your only hope. Make sure to aim high for quick kill potential.
