You just stated the cause and solution in the first sentence.

Meaning, they are used to playing in lag. At this point they probably can't function in a lagless game.

Would you be speaking of a certain corp from the Far East, fighting for Amarr? Play vs them yesterday on biomass. My squad took A and B quickly when I turned my scanner to the supply depot. Frame rate dropped at once. I ran over there and started chunking flux grenades, all three gave me so many plus 5s that I couldn't count them rolling off the screen. I dropped a hive and kept throwing, never got close to taking them all out.

There is no tactical reason other than to lag out the team I can think of to have that many links in one place. Walking up there it was impossible to count the number if spikes in the floor.

This corp has no trouble admitting they use whatever glitch they can to win, but this one is the worse, trying to play at that framerate actually gives me a headache. No more. I see that corp, I leave battle until CCP fixes equipment spam.

Mass Driver = problem solved.

That isn't true. I personally function better without lag, and most people who get too much lag actually back out in the hopes of getting less lag upon re-entering.

It's annoying, but I don't spam equipment to cause lag, I spam equipment to win. I lay Uplinks in a semi-circular pattern so my team can push from multiple sides, without being spawn killed.

Some of the times thats not done through malice to cause lag. Sometimes its done through stupidity to try to farm extra points off everyone who visits the supply depot. The end result is the same though.

I have seen it happen by mistake too. I have been placing Rep hives in the corners of the supply depot room to aid in defending it, only to find someone else doing the same at the same time... oops. 6 reasonably placed rep hives just became 12 or more and gross overkill. In addition to the couple of links each we placed, again to legitimately aid defense... since neither of us were aware the other was going to do the same, now we have 16-20 pieces of equipment in that room and it LOOKS like we meant to lag bomb. Now, when that happens I swap into another copy of the same fit and go put my equipment elsewhere, which cancels that I had left in the supply depot, but the point stands, it CAN happen by mistake when 2 logis from different squads have the same idea.
