Regarding range, I just red someone report getting a kill at 596m. Some of the maps arenGÇÖt that long from end to end.
You are probably thinking of the optics rather than the range.
I noticed that they removed a building on the corner of the Orbital Artillery outpost to open that corner of the map around C for snipers in the hills.
Sniper Rifle damage is an issue: When hit detection was fixed it reduced the Time To Kill (TTK) for automatic weapons, but this did not change the TTK for high Alpha weapons such as the Sniper Rifle. I would guess that you can drop someone quicker at 100m with a Rail Rifle than with a Sniper rifle now.
This will be a real issue when they fix the TTK issue. If they fix it by buffing health, then they will also need to buff high Alpha weapons at the same time or they will be left behind.

that way I can actually see who im shooting at and not miss because he's behind something that hasn't rendered. Sounds very similar to the Charge Sniper, not that there's anything wrong with that. Never used. Does it have better zoom ohk by headshots only?I saw someone doing two shot bursts with charge sniper rifles. Got hit by another shot before I could turn, not even a hit marker. this could knock you out of scope to reload the next bullet preventing spam fire. It has the same zoom as the Ishukone, NT-511, etc. Not as far as the Kaalakiota/Thales. It's not guaranteed OHKs by headshots, but it does the most damage of any sniper rifle when fully charged. I don't know what you think you saw, but the Charge Sniper Rifle is incapable of two-shot bursts. Even the Ishukone/NT-511 can't fire that fast. The only sniper rifles that come close to firing that fast are the Thales and Kaalakiota. I'm aware it doesn't do burstfire, buts it's rof is still more than enough to make it appear like it is at range when your firing it fast. Think of a plasma cannon. takes a few seconds between shots and if I miss or get a body shot you have enough time to get away while I'm reloading. If I hit your head your done, higher zoom makes it harder to hit moving targets. You must be getting it mixed up with a Tactical Sniper Rifle. The Charged Sniper rifle has a charge time. You can shoot at 75% charge for reduced damage to get a shot off faster, but even then the Rate of Fire is slower than a standard Sniper Rifle.

I really donGÇÖt know why anyone would bother QQing about Snipers. Other than playing Sniper for a week or two every once in a while when I need to update my Sniper guide, I have been playing on the front line since Uprising. If I keep moving and use cover properly I only get killed by highly skilled or very lucky Snipers. It is probably only 1 match in 10 that I encounter a Sniper who is good enough to be more than just an annoyance. (I am always impressed when I encounter a good one.)
Every time I see someone QQing about Snipers I envision them wondering in a straight line across an open field, and then stopping to sniff a daisie.
