none of the consoles have great games yet but xbox does not have any good announced games too in my opinion, not really worth it. I also was at some gaming exhibitions and all the stuff presented for xbox was just some generic crap aimed at 12 year olds and the graphics werent that much better than last gen.
sony has all the indy stuff, plus in my opinion great announced titles thus you already made the right choice. I would also suggest to get a 1TB hybrid SSD with high density and you get the most out of the ps4. |

Other than Need for Speed Rivals, I have not seen how powerful the graphics on my PS4 can be. If you havnt yet, check out the game Tom Clancy's The Division . Graphics and gameplay is beyond amazing.

Only thing I see in the current library worth getting it for is Kill Instinct. Maybe if you want to take the whole social networking and streaming thing a step further, but that's what Facebook and Netflix are for. Seems like a waste of money if you got cable/TiVo and a PC.

You are aware that the Xbox one constantly records audio from you and that it does the same with video (and it must be hooked up). It's not a gaming system it's a big brother device. |

There is no reason to get a Xbox One unless there's a specific game you want that only that system has. Sure there is better multimedia capabilities are good, but the system itself is slightly inferior to the PS4, not nearly as many free-to-play games as PS4, higher cost for online service you can play free-to-play games on PS4 without paying for online.
There is also the issue of MicroSoft's compliance with the PRISM program, they have no issue with the NSA storing your Skype videos and messages, or anything else you currently have on your computer which can be accessed... now add that to the implications of the Kinect camera being ALWAYS-ON.

I would've rather they got rid of the camera over the DRM policy. Not like I'll ever buy an xbox, but I don't want that nonsense to be a standard for all home consoles.

the stock HD the PS4 comes with is a cheap one and not very fast. high density on HDD improves the transfer speed at which it can operate. in the case you are thinking about getting and SSD, dont waste your money. PS4 has only SATA II and the OS doesnt have any features for SSDs. an SSD will work but not as well as on a PC with SATA III & an OS that fully supports it thus anything more than a hybrid HD is waste of money.

The first tested boot times:
-SSD boots in 19.5 seconds
-Hybrid boots in 20.3 seconds

Howdy, not to threadjack but this is the first I hear about the HDD on the PS4. is the hybrid being referenced an external HD? I also already have a PS4, so this info caught my eye.
Insofar as the OP question, for me the privacy stuff is huge. The MS/PRISM thing is enough to keep me away from the product, and as others mentioned above, I haven't seen anything game-wise that has wanting one. TitanFall looks less like a game I'd love and more like a game I would play and think to myself, "this game would be waay frikin' cooler if it was in 3rd person so I can actually see wtf I'm doing with all this parkour/mech stuff." Although, Xbone WILL have an exclusive DLC for MGS5 that lets you play as Raiden. But, idrgaf about being Raiden. MGRising was just o-k in my book.

That depends, before you buy a product you have to research if it's good & i mean really good. Otherwise you have bought something useless.
First off, does it beat PS4? No, it doesn't, why?
1. Customer satisfaction is very poor
2. False Marketing (They lied about Cloud & DRM on the Console plus NSA involvement, i work in Government so i know whats going on)
3. No Value behind it (For example if you don't buy Gold Membership your console is more likely a brick, it restricts you from Media & other apps like LoveFilm, NetFliex, Skype etc plus Free2Play games aren't Free2Play because you need to buy membership to play Free2Play Games. When you buy PS+ theirs only 1 restricion & thats Multi-Player & Free2Play games are Free2Play, plus theirs loads of Discounts on games including new ones around 70% - 85% it's like Steam Store.)
4. Forcing Gimmicks instead of making it optional (For example, Kinect)
All i can say is don't trust MS or any American Corperation, Capitalism is a dirty business & MS will use propaganda false marketing to get money, so far their aren't honest for what they're giving us unlike SONY, SONY are staying true to gamers & have proven their passion for gaming.

What I mean by the question is whether that HD is something that I use externally on my PS4 or if the idea is to replace the internal HD in my PS4. I've used an external HD on my PS3 forever to store the media I buy off PSN.
