But... there IS an SP cap. What the hell are you talking about?
man there is no cap for SP overall you do not hit 15 mil for instance and the game tells you you reached the overall SP limit. there is only bonus SP weekly cap so...

However, as an EVE vet I know how crucial the SP grind is to maintain longevity of an SP based MMO. when players have to make hard choices about what to spend hard earned SP on it has meaning and keeps players motivated toward their next skill plan. Respecs harm that aspect of Dust. It also creates a "just one more respec" mentality that players will always beg for another respec because CCP changed or added something. Changes and additions will always happen in Dust.
Players need to get used to that now. I vote No.

Yay or nay for a respec? It's called a f***ing RESPEC, not a respecT. You got it right in your actual thread, and managed to fudge it in the title. Well done. In any case, no respec until all basic content is released. The one for vehicles, although unfair in the manner that tankers and such can now use that SP for ANYTHING, was still entirely necessary. Their skill tree was changed, certain skills were rerouted and others were wholesale removed. They had SP spent on things that no longer even exist. We don't have the same situation. Just saying, the auto correct on the forums makes it "respect" when you try to type "respec".

FTFY again.
When all the basic content comes out, yes. Otherwise I hardly see the problem with partial refunds when the skill tree gets reworked like with vehicles (I guess you could make an argument that light weapons could have been refunded in 1.7 but sh!t most people have both new rifles to proto by now anyway)

Your title threw me way off. Full respect? Yeah, sure man, I appreciate you
Anyway nay. Until the conditions that have been repeated, reiterated, regurgitated, and recycled a hundred thousand times come to fruition then there is no clear reason for SP refund. Then yay, man, whatever keeps people entertained if not happy.
Hopefully they tell us far enough in advance to write down what I already have so I can put it back where it goes.

Sure why not. However, it is not going to happen. Something that would actually generate revenue to CCP... That would be stupid. Something as simple as a red and white Santa drop suit would be great and I would spend Aurum on that too..... But nope.

There has been talk of 1.8 focussing on infantry and a major change to infantry we have a completely modified version of this game. At that point this might as well be uprising 2.0 . That being infantry could use a respect an eye for an eye. maybe a refund on suit types yes but i highly doubt infantry weapons will be completely reworked to the point they offer a full respec until the main launch. To release one this early wouldnt have much point.

I see your point, BUTT, this isn't a subscription based mmo... this is a console FTP game... we all have OTHER games we PAID for that don't have this issue... why the faq would we grind a game that sucks to get better when all we have to do is go play COD? (btw... I HATE COD, & CODers... just a point seller) but I also agree with a point later than this... CCP should SELL them... not for $4.99, but enough to discourage their abused use... this way they MOOT my above point... you PAY to respecT (LOL) and youll grind through future mistakes... giving us a monetary investment to breed loyalty... anyone who CANT see this is just a BIG BABY NO_LIFER who doesn't want anyone to be as good as them... they just want to kill n00bs, make them leave, and kill new arrivals next week, to pad their egos and prevent anyone from challenging their NO_LIFE status (I mean... leaderboard positions) |
