Welcome to New Eden.
Over here, the traditional rules of FPS games are taken to a back yard and shot dead like Old Yellur. If you don't want to lose your Thales, then I suggest one of two things:
1. Stay away from factional warfare and stick to public contracts in high-sec space. 2. Bring it anyways to FW but learn to accept the risks.
This is New Eden after all where CCP allows their players free reign in almost everything including griefing. Why? Because it forces players to think out of the box, adapt accordingly without CCP holding their hands, and it brings great PR for the game. How do you think Eve Online because so famous?
Believe me, this is healthy for the game.
OK, CCP. When are knives finally going to be improved?

If you managed to redline the enemy and your team gets bored in Factional Warfare, eventually one of them is going to betray you just to keep the game interesting. Often times I even let the enemy take an objective so that we got something to do. If a random team mate tries to hack it back or tries to prevent the red from hacking, I would go out of my way to stop him just for the sake of keeping the game fun.

By the way, those Thales snipers are like "God Mode" in a package. If you bring that to the field, you should expect risks to come with it. Otherwise, it would just be OP.

I'm sorry but Friendly Fire is not ok. I'm not asking them to get rid of it, they have consequences for team killing anyway. Your basically being a jerk by harming a teammate in the first place. We don't go to war in real life and purposely kill comrades because the weapon they use, or because you want their tank. I don't believe that is what CCP intended friendly fire to be for. But yes, I know i take that risk in FW, but i should hate the enemys, not my teammates. You know what I do when im not sniping? I'm down there in my proto logi healing everyone and supplying scans and ammo, now how do I deserve to be team killed anyway?
You missed my point.
I would team kill if my team has already redlined the enemy to the point where it gets relatively boring for the next 15 minutes. At that point, I would try to make it fair for the enemy to at least try to catch up.
Yes, I know, people don't do this in real life. But we are immortal mercs here. We don't fight one time and die one time with perma-death against us. We respawn and have fun fighting each other like Vikings in Valhalla. I want to have fun as well, but I'm not going to have any fun at all if my team overwhelms the opposition too soon and we're stuck just waiting for the MCC to blow up.
Believe it or not, there are organized squads out there who often let their enemy take an objective just to let them catch up a bit and keep the match interesting. Basically, we are trying to be fair in a boring match.

Never in FW, that's for sure. Did you get his name? Do what I do when someone loses me one of my Thales, or does something equally douchey: write their name down and grief them into oblivion. I don't just do it for the remainder of the match. I will check to see if they're in every match I play for days, and I will single them out, objectives be damned. Once the player market and other stuff opens up, you could try putting a bounty on them. Oh man this brought me to tears of laughter. I like your idea, I do, but thats not me, but thx for the suggestion.
That could work.

So, Yeah, why are you welcoming me? i've been here a while now. I even have an EVE membership pilot, I know how things are run. But thanks for your feedback/suggestion, whichever it was.
It's a mantra. A traditional saying that has been around since Eve first came out. It's what we say to people who don't seem to be use to the harsh culture of the New Eden universe.
It's better to be told "welcome to New Eden" rather than be told "can I have your stuff?"
