Jason Pearson 3550	Posted - 2013.12.21 22:13:00 - [3] - Quote These three scouts were using proxies everywhere and just launching themselves on the roof of tanks with R.Es, one guy got blown up twice by them, 1st by the proxy mines, he charged straight in despite seeing me and I think Charl, not pushing up and instadied, and then he got a scout on either side of his tank chucking down remotes whiles he was attacking the third one, I left him too it and he just went boom. I was legitimately shocked and terrified, I couldn't keep up with them as they moved, in the end I just went to a different objective, they had that compound locked down. Yeah some players are really ballsy, I love Remoting Tanks, but these guys put my flailing efforts to shame with the level of stealth they use to approach me..... the only thing that gives them away is the sound of the RE's amplified by my raging paranoia. To a Texan like you, a hero is some type of weird sandwich, not some nut who takes on three Gunlogi. Reference = ISK

They take up only a single equipment slot, they can kill any dropsuit. You can guard points, set traps, demo installations, and now, kill tanks. Thanks to the tank spam they are quite possibly the most effective AV weapon in the game at the moment. Ive been doing this with a few people but trust me if it was my group the tank would be gone...we actually coordinate our detonations with your hardeners and shield levels... Dedicated scout. If the Tank spam is too fierce for me to counter with tanks i go on suicide runs with R/E @ them Swarm launcher / ADV R/E And Scrambler Pistol Its...QUITE effective against low level tanks or even higher level tanks,the problem is that ANY infantry that spots me will kill me in a second.Or less. Thanks to active scanners its VERY map dependent. Fun Note:** Once i placed R/E on a tank and he was rail sniping. I ran away from him until i was 170mts away and shot my swarm,then changed to R/E and Almost at the SAME time, i detonated the R/E as the Swarms hit. 1 HKO.... Fun. Usually it's see someone laying REs and take off, so it can be hard to see when hardeners drop. Also if they have more than 1 hardener you have to account for that. Also to get by shields you have to run flux or plasma cannon, both of which weaken your scout even further against infantry. But yes dampened RE scouts are the bane of tanks who are overzealous. It's love to join some scout only squads, anybody know good channels?

To be fair to them, I was running for it and activated my hardeners as I got round the corner because R.Es scare me, the fact that it brought it down so damn hard during the hardener was a wake up call, never letting any Infantry get near me. Now when I see enemy tanks I have to decide between trying to take it down with my own tank or switching to my tank hunting light frame suit. I usually go for the light suit it is so much fun sneaking up behind a tank dropping all your remotes on the sweet spot plasma cannoning it to remove its shields then detonating it. Obviously its trickier against shield tanks with their higher explosive resistance but when done correctly watching a tank that was stomping all suddenly die without warning warms my heart. On the other side of the fence only had one guy try to remote my tank so far and he was in an assault suit and just charged my tank head on, it was brave but stupid he only had time to throw one before I killed him. Also top tip even if you only manage to get one remote on the tank before you die don't just respawn and detonate it, you wont get the tank, if you just leave it however the driver will get worried and will be crapping it incase they get low health and you detonate it then. Allot will drive back to the redline to recall it if they do wait till it goes stationary and detonate then you have nothing to lose and possibly getting the +50 an knowing they are now panicking about their unoccupied tank is also worth a chuckle. I did this when there were like 5-7 tanks just swarming our team, and I just walked up to them and placed remotes all over them. Solo Player Squad status: Locked**
