They don't need a buff, everything else needs to be toned down. If you buff them any more people will complain. They do enough damage. The problem is you can never get that 2nd shot off to finish anything when you're getting mowed down in a fraction of a second by the Assault "rifles" (I mean all of the variants of auto fire projectile weapons)

This is part of the reason that the game is going nowhere. Even though TTK is extremely low, and AR/hitscan weapons have been OP forever and are the major contributor to low TTK, you still have people like this.
The AR is, and always has been, the most spammed weapon in the game.

Mass Drivers are not UP. However the Breach variants could use some work. I feel they should function as another means of AV weaponry rather than a means of suppressive fire against infantry: the other variants already do that well. |

Dude, no offense but were you drunk when using the Mass Driver? I can kill anyone with the Splash Damage (10 metres) & it doesn't need a buff, you can buff it yourself by putting Complex Damage Mods on then it's OP...

I'd be happy if they gave it the old Chromosome damage values since HP and plates got a buff in Uprising. Bringing back the lingering smoke effect would be good too, extra ammo capacity might be pushing it. Doesn't need much, just a little more of a bite to scare the **** out of people like it should.
I tried to put a level into Amarr Commando once, but got a server notification saying "Why?"

Ladies The Mass Driver is fine. The rifles kill too fast in general. The time it takes you to get a 2nd or 3rd shot you would be killed easily. Lower the TTK and then the MD will find its place again. The only thing i would say needs buff is the breach mass driver. It has the stats, boost the direct damage by to 500 base standard and add a higher rate of fire and we'd get a weapon more powerful than swarms but takes skill to use. Also for those who are crying about splash damage shouldn't kill infantry, WTF are you smoking? Standing near an explosion your going to get shrapnel and the high pressure force will kill you. Even if you are in a dropsuit, the human body is still made partly of water. Imagine your blood, liver, heart, brain. being under a severe shock-wave of pressure.....interesting to say the least.
If people really think you can just bomb headshots on moving infantry with a grenade launcher like cake then i will give that sir or madam all the isk in my account and hand them my world champion mass driver title to them , if they can record 2-3 matches in a random game with every MD kill being a direct hit( currently got 40Mill ). If not, then that poor sap just wasted SP going into mass drivers if he thought that's how you use it. Is it possible yes, but the MD kills on splash, the direct damage is for vehicles and poor saps unlucky enough to be at the wrong place at the wrong time.(Usually unwary heavy suits.)
Alternatively if you want to balance the MD in this low TTK environment that i would request the rate of fire of mass drivers across the board be boosted to at least the rate of the assault. Then make the assault a fully automatic grenade launcher with 200rpm and 12 round grenade drum

If there is AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANY buff, at all, even +1 damage, I demand that they remove the effect it has on your aim where it slaps your reticule in some direction.
If you can't aim, that's fine, but at least don't ruin mine. You just hate everything that kills you. You can still pray and spray with your automatic sniper, I just want the make you go "Oh ****!" and have to run away.
Think about it, when has anyone cried about the MD after 1.4. 1.2-1.3 doesn't count because aiming-hit detection was broken, making the MD the only viable meta by default. Before that, it was bugged and pre-nerfed. I don't even know why I'm trying to justify the damn thing when half the people here probably spam Core locus grenades.

The Breach MD AND the Breach Shotgun could use a small rate of fire increase nxt to a damage increase. The Breach MD could use 100% efficiency vs VEHICLE ARMOR as an ALT AV weapon with chance to damage infantry. (If its not ALREADY like this)

they ripped the carpet from under developement adding aim assist. you don't make a game a then try to work it around aim assist after you've already balance passed it. you begin developing with aim assist and then build the balance from there. this was done in the former and therefore it's never gonna balance out- you dont build a house first and then somehow try to fit a foundation onto it.

I personally think the projectile should be faster.
Minmatar weapons should fit the form of either an autocannon or artillery. As MDs are obviously artillery, they need the superior range that artillery is meant to have.
