Has anybody played around with the "'Skinweave' Militia Minmatar Medium Frame"? It is built like a Minmatar assault suit (base shield/armor HP values + movement/sprint values as well). It has the the 1 HP regen like the Mini assaults. The biggest difference though, is that it has no sidearm but two equipment slots instead. There are a few other differences also:
Skinweave:
CPU/PG: 160/25
Shield regen rate: 15.3
Slot lay out: 1H, 2L
Minmatar basic/assault:
CPU/PG: 160/32
Shield regen rate: 18.0
Slot lay out: 3H, 1L
So, has anyone been playing around with this? It has such an odd configuration, that it seems like it could be useful (plus I really like the skin - it's green). I haven't played it in combat yet, but here are the two fits I made with It:
Comp extender
Combat rifle
Remote explosives
Quantum scanner
Basic plate
Enhanced repairer

Since I have a proper logi suit I don't bother with my skinweave logi anymore, but it's still an awesome suit that I'm glad I got from closed beta!

I got one as well along with the heavy one and the scout one. I use the scout one quite often mainly as a bait suit or suicide suit. Thankfully I also have the BPOs to go with it like the BPO SMG, BPO Kin Cat, and a BPO Exile Assault with BPO shield extender. XD
OK, CCP. When are knives finally going to be improved?

I use this suit to drop uplinks with my dropship, and to place remote explosives on my LAV for tanks.

I messed up and threw mine on an alt I never use because I have the sever on my main. Hopefully I can get it back if the player market opens back up. The speed makes it interesting, kind of like the old type II scout.

Yah, that was my thought. Except it has a bit bigger hit box, but I have it fit to where I have 500 eHP exactly and it has 7.25 HP/sec armor regen. I just got through playing a game with it, the suit did really well. It's a pretty tough little bastard.

It is my favourite suit
Awesome for getting tons of wp with a mlt rep tool and an injector
My suit is just
2 mlt plates
1 shield extender
exile ar
mlt locus nade
mlt rep tool
and mlt injector
IT has 500hp, you can get a ton of wp and it has the passive regen and it is cheap as hell (or even free is you have the bpos

I have a proper logi suit as well (proto Gal logi) but I don't run it a lot. I mostly use my std and adv equipment. For one, it's a good challenge, and two: I make a lot more money in the std and adv equipment. I like to play really aggressively a lot of the time. And sometimes I get into trouble that even a proto suit can't get you out of. When I run my proto suits I have to be a lot more cautious if I want to make money, which can be kinda constricting.

I like using this suit. I left it alone for awhile after getting the dren logi , but realized it moved faster so started using it some more. |

Yes, it's the same as the old "fossil" BPO, one of my most prized possessions. I use it at the start of every match as a throwaway uplink suit. I will totally ragequit if they ever try to take it away from me!

I love this suit, its fast and with all your core upgrades up to maximum you can destroy adv guys with ease and be a match to proto geared guys.
It's basicly my primairy suit for 'militia' stomping in pub and FW matches;
1x enhanced sidearm dmg mod
2x enhanced armor plates
1x SMG M209 (with wp 4  )
1x flux grenades
1x basic repper and basic injector

I'm fully invested in heavies, so I run this suit when I just want to have some low-cost fun and play medic. I put an Exile rifle and mostly militia modules with a militia injector and repper, costs me about 2K per suit and I get lots of WP. With the two equipment slots, it's easily the most valuable BPO I have.
I don't really use the other Skinweave suits--my scout fits use the Dragonfly, I almost always run advanced or better heavies, and assaults don't interest me. |

Sounds a little to slow for my tast. Good to see people are enjoying this suit though.

I personally favor the caldari skinweave over the minmatar one, mostly because I also have the SVER suit which I still use as my main breadwinner.
But my caldari skinweave usually has a laser, mlt shields, mlt armor rep, mlt nanohive, and toxin smg. It actually does fairly well for itself. |

Back in closed beta there was only one logi - the minmatar logi. All the skinweaves were just a militia BPO of the only 4 suit types that existed at the time.
Then the big changes happened and the other ones just turned into militia basic frames with no other alterations and tweaks. However by leaving the Skinweave logi the same it became a suit that is faster than a logi but has extra equipment, all while being free to run.
I use this suit all of the time due to FW being such an ISK sink.
Try to kill it all you want CCP, I still <3 my laser.

I personally like my sever suit.
3 equipment gives me more options, even if it is slightly slower, and it comes with another high slot (2H/2L).
But thank you for reminding me about the fact it has a faster movement speed.
