IGN? *roaring laughter*
IGN is sooooo commercial, you already know the review scores before you read em. No way, I read the last review they did and it was so blatantly idiotic.
I got into a argument with a IGN editor on there in the comment section. The guy judged everything from a BF/COD standpoint instead of reviewing it objectively.
Mind you, the latest gamespot review I didn't mind, because it was a good write up. IGN are the worst when it comes to reviews.

Man, don't I know.
I posted a comment about the review being biased. Saying the reviewer should have taken time to play Dust. There's no way that you can just sit down and play Dust for a few hours, then write a review as if you're informed.
Then this IGN editor comes outta nowhere and starts picking on my post as if I'm not allowed to express my opinion on a comment section. Saying I didn't know what I was talking about and how the review was good. He responded to me like I was this 15 year old kid who just got mad about someone saying something bad about his favorite game. AKA...just a fanboy troll.
It was absurd.
Dust 514 is not a game you just play for a day and write a review on it.

What's wrong with that exactly? Whether you like them or not, those 2 particular titles set the bar for FPS games thanks to their enormous player bases. Not to mention, it's an opinion piece, and the editor would have been correct to write it from the perspective of the largest common denominator. Oh, and objectively, this game sucks.
Because you cannot judge games objectively if you are basing them on what COD/BF is doing. You cannot also judge this game by playing it in a day and then giving judgement. Especially a game of this nature which grows over time.
That's like reviewing Inception based on seeing Memento. It just doesn't make sense

Except CoD/BF simply do what people want them to do, so he's not really basing them off the titles, he's basing it off what people actually like (again, that's why their player bases are huge). I'd give you the second point about judging the game in a day, but all that means is more skillpoints, which translates into a power boost against the new guy. It doesn't change a whole lot.
Yea, which doesn't review the game itself. He used COD/BF as the measure stick, as if its the definitive. In that case, every shooter should be compared to them. Every single one.
