I did not get this far to have idiots like this ruin the game, whoever the dumba*& was who decided that friendly fire was a good idea was an idiot!

It is a team based game, where your team is not always going to play by your rules. If you don't like it you are more than welcome to continue fighting in High Sec.

They want online games to have multiple "easy" options to cater to them.
Friendly fire is a needed dynamic in DUST... the amount of purposeful kill stealing and running into Bullet fire lanes is proof enough.
Stop asking for easy mode... you have public contract's that give you ISK. If you arent in the point of your FPS career where friendly fire is that extra bit of challenge you where looking for... Then your hurting the middle of the road DUST players that are trying to win Factional warfare battles. and a good reason caldari and amarr are full of NPC corps. |

Well...before Faction Warfare was essentially identical to random battles, since there was no additional benefit. Play random battles, there is no friendly fire, problem solved.
I don't really see what the issue is. You're angry about being teamkilled, so stop playing game modes where teamkilling is allowed. It's like a fat kid crying about being fat as he's shoveling down spoonfuls of ice cream.

The only disappointment is how you are so unable to adapt to a simple game mechanic which not only avoidable completely, but common in many games of similar genre.

A little griefing is healthy for the game.
Griefing promotes creativity as it forces you to think out of the box on how to deal with said griefers. Eve Online players have adapted to counter griefers on their own without any help from CCP and they are doing just fine. We Dust bunnies can do the same.
If you want, you can fight back you know. Just either shoot them in the head or grief them back by wearing a cheap throw-away suit and jump in front of their line of fire so they can suffer the penalty. It's that simple. The laws of the jungle (or lack of it) are a two-way door. Whatever is someone can do to you, you can do it to them in return. It's called payback.

I have never had friendly fire be a problem for me, even with orbitals I've only team killed about 4 times. I have heard it can be a bit of a problem for re users though. |

I actually enjoy it. There are these blue berries that keep killing me while im chilling in my corner and I just keep punishing them. after 3-4 kills they get kicked from the match and I just go about my business as if nothing ever happened. |

Why the eff are you buying boosters and going into FW? It's better to do Pubs because you get ISK and less risk. No one has time for this type of whining when there's clearly a difference between "challenge" in the two different contract types.

it doesn't sound like new eden is the place for you....which is fine, it's not a put down.... but dust was always heading in this direction, you have eve as the proof.

I think your missing the point , griefing is not only encouraged by the devs but it is also an intrinsic part of new eden, so if you cant handle it jog on no one asked you to join fw.

You know what FW needs?
Purples for players that love to team kill. Killing a purple is not an offense.
I addition, hacking friendly vehicles and being able to recall them.
Because, ****, if you want to have a slice of EVE, at least make it GLORIOUS.
I want team members that can actually sabotage their entire team and make a profit from it. But only if they aren't stopped in time - And the team should have the ability to stop them if they organize themselves for a bit.
No simple autokick for friendly fire. Just remove the FF penalties on team killers. Let them roam around and snipe their tankers because they are zealots who hate tanks. Allow them to call their dropships and then eject the entire load of players in an inescapable redline area. Have a dude, who just turned purple after a team kill, running around with a sniper rifle and stealing LAVs that players just called in.
Make this awesomely evil, instead of just a frustrating annoyance. I want this to either be large-scale or not exist at all. |

How is this fair? So I do not play LC anymore, so I don't get LP's, so some of the items are out of my reach.

And people don't have to be "HTFU dicks" to point it out.
Do what a ton of other people do. Find another, better game. Let's face it, DUST isn't a tier 1 console game. It's still a late beta balancing effort that CCP is putting out for free.
Other games might have friendly fire but many have user-defined matches in which you can turn off friendly fire. And those other games are tier 1 console games. But you have to pay to play them (the initial cost plus PlayStation Plus, if you want to play online).
There is no reason to bash your head against the table (although I'm with you in your frustration on the rare occasion when I get TK'd). In the EVE universe betrayal is something people like and it is a variable they want to fiddle with.
I have to say that it mystifies me why any corporation would tolerate team killing by their mercenaries. Hiring mercenaries is expensive and if one or two guys started to kill their buddies, I'd never hire them again. I'd want my mercenaries to be disciplined killers, not wild dogs.
I've heard it before that the TK stats of each player should be available for public view. I agree with this sentiment. If I know I'm in combat with people who TK, I'm going very high in the mountains to relax.

no that's funny... whats dumb is you continuing to frustrate yourself with it when you don't have to play FW...
hell, you don't even have to play this game, trust me I've spent weeks not playing and I'm still ok...
just take a deep breath, except that griefers in a friendly fire match are not only expected, but desired,
and don't forget to punish him when it happens.
other than the above advice the best I got is stick to pubs... and if at any point you begin to hear creaking and cracking coming from the plastic of your controller enveloped in your white knuckled fists, just turn the game off...
this game makes me sad....
