Open the worlds of New Eden to mercenaries, too long have we fought for faceless Imperialistic Empires, let us forge our own futures on the surface of the planets we fight on, to find and kill drones, to keep what we kill and be true immortals as capsuleers have done for many a year. Kill Scotty.

Although I agree with you on the beauty of the 4 player direct feed that was linked above, I wonder, how powerful is it truly. The Dragon is an NPC and unlike Dust, this game seems to not have all the extra assets that Dust has inherently in every match. Nano Hive, Vehicles and Uplinks are but a few player provided assets. With automatic weapon fire and multiple vectors of flying bullets from automatic weapons, it needs to be quite powerful indeed. As one recourse to reduce lag, I myself have had to set my client to the lowest graphics settings possible to be able to enjoy running around the battle fields and shooting / rezzing / repping anything. We, on the lowest settings for graphical pleasure, are still experiencing many laggy matches regardless of steps that we take.
As opposed to using someone else's game engine, perhaps it is time for CCP to set their Eve team on porting their client over to the PS3. It seems to function fine with multiple player aspects and can handle the large non player asset counts present in every system as well as having the ability to add time dilation to systems which are heavily congested. I'm not talking about heavily congested like a 32 man group each laying multiple nano hives and uplinks but rather 2000 people all flying around, shooting, killing other players as well as a large number of non player assets moving about in space, multiple rapid firing weapons (from each ship) as well as many trade transactions all going on at the same time. Yes I am talking about the Burn Jita Events that happen on a regular basis. I am also referring to Saturdays and Sundays in Jita where the masses congregate to sell their hard won booty from the week before or the manufactured items they have brought to the market.
The only limit to their Eve Client seems to be one of hardware and the hardware's rendering ability. I don't think that the PS3 will have any issues with the Eve Client in a hardware respect. Many of the games we play on the PS3 have very creative and detailed graphics that can catch a player's breath in their throat if they take the time to appreciate them. I would dearly love to see a move away from the engine that can't keep up to the one that can.
