Alot of you would call this drastic but if tanks are going to be left as they currently are; drastically increase the ISK payouts for their destruction and more importantly, increase their market price. It will end this 'tank spam' we have marauding through winter. 6 tanks roaming around in an ambush slaughtering infantry as they spawn in, redline railgun tanks shooting dropships ouf of the sky and are only vunerable to orbital strikes. it's just silly

Disagree. I like the combined arms game. If something needs to be done for balance, nerf MLT tanks...they need to be inexpensive so new players can try out tanking.
RDVs are a failed experiment - can't we just remove them from the game?

The only price changes I would like to see are:
Militia tank frames: 125,000 ISK
Standard tank frames: 250,000 ISK
A brand new player can be in a standard tank in his first or second week if he actually just plays (Turret Operation 5, Large Turret Operation 1, Large Blaster or Railgun Operation 1, Vehicle Command 5, HAV Operation 1) with 500,000 starting SP

True, hulls are cheap - too cheap. Otherwise, tanks are real cheap if fit only with MLT/STD modules.
Aaaand there it comes: It is GOOD that MLT vehicles arent tremendously inferior to higher level (by terms of fitted modules). It's good that they don't automatically lose vs those better HAVs, and PRO AV for that matter. Having same power of effect from MLT to CMPLX modules while differentiating cooldowns is a great mechanic.
But, Those cooldown differences aren't big enough. MLT tanks are doing more than just once going full-on and then cooling off for quarter of a match, they are able to come back real soon and therefore go on stomping especially the infantry.
[SUGGESTION:] Keep the relative power of MLT/STD modules but increase the cooldown timers further.
I believe that would discourage the biggest 23/7 stomping by pile of tanks. Only those with dedicated SP in tanking would enjoy continous tanking, but without any extra power as such.
Feeling the scanner is too simple and off balance?

Militia tanks are so cheap (and fast) now that I know players who will use them to get from point A to B rather than a LAV. Hahah. It's a bit of a joke. |

BTW isk balancing is still one of the worst ways of balancing the battlefield.
Although I gotta admit, current cheap tanks make it too worriless to keep on calling in new one after losing first.

I sometimes leave Sicas sitting around after getting where I need to go...a good bait tank can spawn a whole team of random AVers.
There will be bullets. ACR+SMG

I love you, you know.
Current prices should have applied to pre 1.7 tanks. Cheap throwaways that were easy to kill.
Now they gone and slashed the prices, and made them way OP.
Seems like a simple fix, then I would be CAREFUL with my tanks. Now I just call in another one, no biggie.
