I think the game has matured enough with some steady corps in the game where we don't really need to rely on matchmaking when it comes to corps.
There should be a Corp Deploy option that would queue you against other corps in Corp Deploy. This cannot be harmful to the game seeing on how this would cut down on pub stomping. With corp deploy in place it will become embarrassing for a corp to squad deploy into a public ambush for example. And the fun factor will actually go through the roof. We won't be constrained to severely lopsided games that happen 8/10 times.
Oh, sht! I just learned you can make a signature! Thanks, CCP! Forums are getting better!

If you can figure out how to prevent this then you may be in with a chance.
I thought this is what the Oceania server is for. Plus ppl who have interest or discipline to cap their SP will do it either way. Ppl who are cheap enough to boost will do so anyway yet again with or w/o clan deploy. Lastly with the huge SP gap w/e helps that motivated newb get their SP - they are welcome to it.
I would note though, that the odds of getting placed into the same game on opposite sides under Corp Deploy would be just as improbable as it is now with random matchmaking if enough corps participated.

Two teams of 16 on opposite FW sides q-syncing will almost inevitably be pitched against teach other. I don't see how the matchmaking system can do anything else. It could, I suppose, pitch a full team of 16 against squads or individuals instead, but that would hardly be fair. It would also probably work out if there were dozens of full teams deploying every minute, but we don't have the player count for that. Anyway, afaik this is the issue that is preventing team deploy being implemented.
I think you are not thinking about it right. If there was clan deply function, this is where all real corps would go for meta game. With player count of about 3k at any given time, corp deploy would maybe have 300 players in it (not too far fetched to me). That's enough to have 10 games going. An average FW game lasts about 10 min. That means that on average there is gonna be a game launched every 1 min - with that many ppl playing it's far from guarantee that you would be able to queue sync successfully. So all ppl who really want to SP boost would go back to Oceania where they have always been which would be the far easier way to cap SP if one desired to do so.
