As the whole roadmap is incredibly opaque to me, is the aim of the dust patch cycle to just drip feed content as quickly as it's churned out or is every whole number patch supposed to be an expansion pack? so we are expecting 1.8, 1.9 and then 2.0 but is 2.0 meant to be any different or is it just churning out as much content as they can with every patch for the foreseeable future?
Thanks in advance to anyone who can reply coherently. Of course, CCP are as usual, very welcome in threads like this (or the CPM if your NDA's permit!) |

No idea, though if it helps, in the closed and open beta we slowly had content added, but when Uprising came out, it was like someone opened the flood gates. No idea if that kind of trend will continue however.

It might well go to 1.10, 1.11, etc - until another major release is ready, at which point I suppose it might go 2.0.
I'm not sure the roadmap is very coherent atm. I'm sure the arrival of CCP Rouge has changed a few things. At the moment i doubt the 1 month release cycle will change much but after that it remains to be seen what CCP Rouge will do. I've heard good things about him, but I don't think we've seen much of him so far - so it remains to be seen what will change.

Thanks. At current rate I'm guessing 1.8 will hit mid-january, then 1.9 february, and we'll know then if 2.0 is "just another patch" or is something big. Due to the current team size I assume they won't be able to hit the two-a-year expansion that EVE does. I'm not even sure what qualifies for an "expansion"... |

An expansion IS planned soon, but we don't know if it will be 2.0 or what.
