Aero Yassavi wrote:That's because Gallente and Minmatar are easy mode, and by easy mode I mean you could run in circles inside your MCC the entire match and still win 90% of the time. So of course, everyone is queuing Gallente and Minmatar with not nearly as many queuing for for Amarr and Caldari hard mode.
In fact, the only real benefit Amarr and Caldari FW has at the moment is it only take 5 seconds to find a match and we never get scotty errors.
Easy? Ha. Caldari are too afraid to use anything more than militia and BPO. I'll give credit to the Amarr and say they put up a lot more of a fight than Caldari, but, just like Caldari (but to a lesser degree, since I actually see advanced gear and rare prototype), afraid to rally and use the better things. I've seen quite a few Q-synced squads for both- they still get crushed whenever we ("we" as in both Gallente and Minmitar) have more than just randoms. Minmitar's blues have this awful habit of letting other blues get shot in the back and then try to kill the red, only to fail. Gallente blues have a habit of throwing themselves into blenders, but that can't be help.
What can be helped, however, is the fact that most of the Gallente FWs I've been part of... we squad and ultimately cover the needed points. I've been on the Caldari's side before and the lack of organization was hilarious. Hell, I don't even use a mic and I work just fine with the people I squad with.
Long live the Federation!

Aero Yassavi wrote: You're looking at this wrong. Do you really think the Gallente and Minmatar tryhards are so much better than the Amarr and Caldari tryhards? I'd say they're pretty even in tryhardness. Do you honestly believe the Amarr and Caldari guys are afraid to use expensive gear? HA! Get your head on straight. The people using MLT and STD gear in FW are using it because they don't have anything else.
When I squad for Amarr, I win the good majority of the time. When I q-sync for Amarr, I haven't lost yet (with some great matches against q-synced Minmatar btw). It's just that the Gallente and Minmatar have a lot more supporters (probably because they are the perceived "good guys") and thus all the new players who don't have anything better than MLT or STD gear and have all four boxes checked for FW end up getting placed on Amarr and Caldari in order for matches to start.
Again, Gallente and Minmatar are easy mode. Fact. Don't believe me? Test it yourself. Check all four boxes in FW and see what team you get placed on. And the people who have all the boxes checked are, again, the people who don't have anything better than MLT and STD. That's why you stroll through most your matches.
I "stoll" through all my matches because I take objectives. I counter-hack. I guard the objectives. I'm not specialized into one thing. I don't just slay. I don't clutch onto a single weapon. I don't walk in a singe suit. I am the jack of all (infantry) trades. I do exactly what the **** we need. Need a guard dog? Heavy here. Need a support unit? Logibro here. Need a place secured? Scout here. I do it all. I painstakingly went this route some time ago. The "easy mode" Gallente? You shitting me? I roll into squads with fellow jacks (of all trades) quite often. We do what's needed. The Gallente I run into are often friendly with one another. When I enter the lobby, I see people squading or already squaded. If there's a place open, I slip into it.
From there? I fill the holes that are created. It's that simple. Hell, from time to time I lol about in the starter fit. Kidding me? There's usually an AFKer on our side, if not three to four. You know what we do? We bring better gear, carry those AFKers.
There was a separation when FW 2.0 arrived. People chose their side and now we have the result. If you really wanted to help your team, train the goddamn blues. Don't just sit there sobbing in a corner because you aren't getting your way. We Gallente take care of the Academy people that come in. I've been on Caldari's side. The anti-social fucks like leaving their blues for dead. Want to help? Do something.

Aero Yassavi wrote:With the above said, I think it'd be really interesting if CCP made it so you had to manually place the check next to the boxes before you can play FW instead of it being all boxes checked by default. I swear most the newer players don't even know there are boxes to check off. You make it so they have to decide which factions to check off (and can still check all four if they really want to) and then we'll see less of these guys filling up Amarr and Caldari simply because it's the shortest queue. If you're a Gallente or Minmatar player, queue times will be even longer than they are now. However, the matches would be much more competitive.
We may be pissing back in forth in another thread, but I am behind something being done about the entire queuing of randoms. I believe that they are thrown in (like you say) because of the shorter time and because they have all four checked. What I actually want (believe it or not) is an entry requirement into FW in itself.
Also, I want a lobby when I queue and there's snazzy music playing.

I just came from a game of Gallente vs Caldari and OSG Planetary Operations was there. They put up a hell of a fight, but we won. Some good gear was being used at the second half of the game. Nearly everyone on Caldari's side did splendidly. (I say "nearly" because there were three people that went negative ten or more). Gallente's side had only two group that happened to be on our side, but even then one of them consisted of only three of them. The other group consisted of two.
I saw quite a bit of prototype and advanced gear that game and it tickled me because people were fighting back.
The only reason we won was because we kept grabbing objectives and defending them. Good effort from Caldari's side, but they weren't focused enough on the objectives.
I say this because if more of the Caldari's side would of used as much gear as we were throwing out, they would of beaten a lot more of us down. I hear that a number of Caldari's players are... poor. Understandable, given the nature of the other modes as of late.

Aero Yassavi wrote: What part of this do you not grasp? The Caldari's side can't use as much top end gear as you were because their players literally can't, they don't have the skills. Why? Because they're being filled up by the random scrubs (for lack of a better term) with low SP and don't understand how to specify which faction to fight for, thus get placed on Caldari due to shorter queues.
Where's your loyalists? Where's Amarr's? Do you two need a ****** event just to group up? Is both Amarr and Caldari that weak? Both Gallente AND Minmitar not only took back the territory that was taken, WHEN THERE WAS NOTHING FOR US, and then continued to take. When FW 2.0 hit, you know what happened? Can you comprehend that both Minmitar and Gallente went against the odds and WON? "But Gallente didn't have stupid blues..." Bullshit. We had to endure those ******* for a long time. Now that there are more Gallente and Minmitar corps dedicated to the cause, you know what?
We don't have space for them.
Here's a concept: Q-sync, make friends, grab them, sync even more, repeat until you feel you can handle reds that consist of a bunch of randoms and two squads that consists of a max of three same corp people.
For ****'s sake. It's not that difficult. For the past thirty minutes or so before downtime, Caldari actually held three to five slabs of territory. You know what? We took it back. Randoms, AFKers, and bullet magnets all around took back what was shortly taken. Caldari has, what, two now?

Out of all the things I could of possibly singled out, I'm going to do this one.
GOOD!
I don't want you to know me. I don't want you to see me. I don't want you to remember me. You are a nothing to me and that is how everyone from an opposing faction SHOULD see each other. There's no sentimental values to be had here. It's the people with no name that have done more than you could possibly imagine.
And I do remember you from a FW a few weeks ago. I shot at your tank with a Breach and you ran from me. From one soldier. I laugh whenever you put something up about tanks because I remember that you fled from a single red. A single Wiyrkomi. You later came back around and attempted to spawn trap with a Maddy, but that failed too.
From all the jousts I have in Minmitar FW lately, you are not there. Out of all the defend orders I do for them, you are not there. Where are you? The hours I spend in FW... where are you? Just... where are you? So I can blow up your tank without even using a heavy weapon.
Never forget that it's the people you don't remember that are the worst to run into. You may not know them, but they may know you. You putting yourself out as a HAVer makes it easier on me to remember you. I'll be keeping an eye out for you.
P.S. If you really believe that being known is important, you don't belong here. You really don't.

BreachFG? Yup I couldn't see you past 50m. Still you are no Senator Snipe or Cyrius Li Moody
I actually ran into Senator Snipe quite a bit in 1.6. He used the assault FGs whenever I saw him, so it was hilarious to pop him with the standard (at those times we were on the opposite sides). Cyrius? I've seen Cyrius and he's not bad. I don't think I've engaged with him in FG fights before like the other one you mentioned, but I have seen him about the field and I'd love to engage him if I find myself on the opposite team.
Rolling back to the situation of Amarr versus Minmatar- I've been siding with Amarr a lot lately and we win nearly all the games. A lot of good fights, despite Minmatar being little ***** and attempting to lag bomb (seriously, every time they do, we clone them out of spite). I don't believe it's the blueberries that are the problem. I believe Amarr is "too concentrated" at certain points in time. Sure, having everyone good on one side in a battle is grand and all, but what about the other fights?
I end the day with Amarr between 13 to 20 percent in control. Next day, they are back at zero. It's also my belief that there isn't enough manpower to keep control of what little there is after (my) day is done, unlike Minmatar. My suggestion at this point is to thin out a bit of the manpower, so we don't keep defending something repeatedly that we just took.
That's my two ISK, at least.
Added note: I still haven't seen you in there. `.`
