Good one, BAMM. You, Booker, and Judge have the makings of a pretty good comedy act.
Seriously, good review of vehicles for 1.7. As a non heavy AV player I had some different perspectives but thought you guys we pretty fair.
You did mention the ISK imbalance in tanks but the other significant issue is the SP imbalance. A no SP, militia tank now takes serious effort and coordination for a team of veteran players to actively contend with. My AV suit costs more ISK than the vehicle I'm fighting....not a good option. When it's cheaper and more effective to bring in a militia tank than a couple AV players that's concerning. Effectively for little to no cost you can soak up several players on the other side with a single tank.
1.7 also brings you a strong sample of what racial parity is like now that all medium suits and base rifles are in the game...it makes racial playstyles relevant.
Curious....what your thoughts on the HMG fix this week?

haven't had the opportunity to try out the hmg fix yet, I'm hoping it's to do with the spread, have you tried it?
I like it that some vehicles are cheap in SP and ISK because it encourages me to experiment with vehicles where I never have before but I totally get your point, not sure what the solution is yet tho, maybe some middleground price and SP point

I don't run heavies but my corp pals are raving about it last night.
Some of our really veteran heavy players says it breathes some life back into the class. Basically it's a very significant increase in ROF (+400 rpm on basic HMG, scale by type from there) and the lowered the accuracy by about 20 points. Net effect is the rounds fill the reticle properly, no laser like beams of bullets, and it devours targets in the optimal range.
Recommendation is to try out the assault variant and you'll get back some additional range and still shred targets. |

a thousand pardons for not replying sooner, work has been an utter nightmare hence why there is no description for tthis video and on the video itself working 0800 - 2230 everyday for the past to weeks, but enough with these feeble excuses
1.7 is in my opinion a great success, a militia tank costs so little its encouraging mercs to try out the HAV, the militia swarm, nade and forge fits are a good counter if tactics are applied to militia tanks, I still feel there is an imbalance between proto tanks and proto forges..... my proto stomper forge fit still costs less than a proto tank , he losses 1 mil + and I lose 88k, but , the militia tank is so good and so cost effective that 3 miltia tanks can and have won matches, because the opposite team has no counter there is no need to spawn anything more durable and expensive and that's where I come in .
I honestly didn't think the hmg tweaks would make such a difference to game play, they have breathed new life into the class and im actually winning fire fights.... I can actually stand and fight with everyone else instead of hiding in corners and ambusing the 1 random merc that crosses my path .

Ah man! I have stupid work too but now I'm itching to test out hmg fix, sounds amazing! When your aim is as bad as mine you need all the spread you can get!! Lol!
