Remove militia hardeners. Boom. Now people need to invest SP to spam tanks. It'll either create a new generation of tankers who invest 10+ mil SP and should do well with tanks or it'll stop mlt tank spam because a tank with no hardeners is easily killable by even mlt AV

nice idea. this could atually work, along side a reduction to the number of tanks on one team.
Tell me, how exactly DOES a biscuit gain Valor?

I think a general reduction in all militia modules would be appropriate. I understand they suffer from increased resource cost and whatnot, but even with reduced slots and resources, they're able to put up pretty strong defenses.
I mean personally I'm a specced tanker so I enjoy all the militia vehicles, lots of targets, but I know the infantry guys are suffering pretty badly because of it.

No, I don't want to be limited because other people use vehicles. It's annoying not be able to help team kill tanks because people are spamming lavs

Meh
MLT gear is there to give you a basic idea of how the play style works without SP investment at the cost of overall efficiency.
Without hardners, you've removed a central part of their fitting options and drasticly changed their gameplay.
It's not much different from removing MLT tank mods for infantry or damps in the case of scouts.

So other pilots are still trying to justify god mode by using the MLT HAVs as a scapegoat?
Such a shame really.

What about 2 highs and 1 low for Caldari MLT HAVS and 2 Lows and 1 High for Galente Militia HAVs,
That would actually give the devs something to work with in future tiers.

Less than 100k SP for basic hardeners.
To overwhelm easily 5-10mil SP AV

The OP idea wouldn't be enough.
There's just something horribly wrong with the whole idea of mlt giving 100% the same power as complex. The only difference being uptime.
and in Charchars original idea it would only require investing into hardeners.Less than a million SP I believe. |

I'm not in any way arguing against nerfing militia tanks. They are clearly too strong.
But its not just militia tanks, its all of them.
One way to spend your ISK & SP (tanks) is better than all the others (AV, assault, logi, scout, heavy - you name it).

I disagree. I put 10 mil into tanks so I should perform very well just like anything else. We need to allow more tankers to become good tankers so every battle is 4 v 4 not 5 v 1 tanks

Hardeners should have increased duration and and damage reduction per tier, they should not be as useful or last as long at MLT level and they should not be able to produce a perma-hardened or almost perma-hardened tank. |
